I Live in Cherokee Valley and am a real estate agent with Realty One Group. GOLF is what my husband wanted to do for the rest of his life. We shopped golf property and bought in two golf communities. Just as we prepared to build our home we discovered Cherokee Valley . One chilly day we grabbed a golf cart to look around the course. When we topped the signature tee box(pictured below) the beauty
caused me to audibly gasp. The Blue Ridge
mountain panorama was a site I wanted to share with everyone. From the tee box you couldn’t see the green below but you can see the reason we chose to abandon our building plan and move to Cherokee Valley . My husband being a pilot and the ALL NAVY CHAMP has played golf all over the world on some of the finest courses. For him to choose Cherokee Valley speaks volumes. Our daily lives are cast against the scenic foothills of South Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Everywhere there is a kaleidoscope of mountains, verdant fields, forests rife with an abundance of wildlife, streams, waterfalls, and hiking paths. Jigsaw color beauty at every turn and all within easy access to nearby cultural centers, shopping, hospitals and transportation hubs. Here we found more than scenery. We found a “lovable community”. The people, the denizens of Cherokee Valley give this place its soul. Some work from home. Others have jobs either full or part time and some of us have children. Most of us have come from some distant places not knowing anyone when we arrived. People here reach out, remembering how they felt when they were newcomers. Nine families brought welcome gifts when we moved in. My husband not being familiar with our customs, thought the neighbor bringing fresh picked strawberries was trying to sell them. Me being from the area took pride in saying," Welcome to Southern Hospitality ". This has led to a culture of our own and the formation of a variety groups like yoga, hiking, poker, mah-jong, bridge, bunko, sushi club, men’s and lady’s golf associations, tennis, book club, and social gathering of every sort . When I was new here, I didn't want to miss anything. Quickly, I realized there was more to do than I ever imagined ! Location : Cherokee Valley
