Ares JV and our middle school group competed this weekend at the tournament held Saturday April 25, 2026. Our youngsters first time competing in a D2/D1 bracket which helped us understand what they need to work on. After these two loses, their start of the season with a respectable 4-2. On the other end our JV team went 1-1 keeping their season record at a 500 average.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Easter Eve Open Run.

The gym was competitive, the energy was right, and players in the Classes of 2026–2028 had the chance to show what they bring to the floor.

This is only a preview of the night. More photos, media, and program details will be sent out soon to players who attended.

Alexandros Goumenidis | 2027 PG

Evaluation run from this past weekend.

Alex brings grit on defense, high IQ, unselfish play, ball movement, and a team-first approach every time he steps on the floor. The kind of guard who competes, makes reads, and helps winning basketball happen.

Welcome back to Ares Basketball, Diego ⚔️

Diego Gracia (Class of 2028 | Forward) continues to be part of the Ares family, and we’re excited to have him back in the program.

Diego brings size, effort, and a strong presence on the floor. As he continues his high school journey at Kimball, we’re looking forward to seeing his game keep growing and his confidence continue to build.

Even better, we get to keep the Gracia brothers in the program together.

Glad to have you back, Diego.

First run of the season for this group.
The 2-0 weekend is nice, but that’s not what matters most right now.

This weekend was about getting on the floor together, seeing where we are as a team, and learning what we need to clean up. A lot to build on, a lot to improve, and that’s exactly the point.

Back to the gym. Back to work.

All the teams did well today finishing up@the day 5-1 as a club. Pictured, our 17u local group winning their bracket. Great first run in for the start of the season. Lots more work to do!

What we’re building at Ares Showcase is different.

To be clear, Dan is not the head coach of Ares Showcase — he is a resource, mentor, and trainer who supports the development of our Showcase team and the growth of Ares players overall.

We’re looking for serious high school players who want high-level development, accountability, competition, and exposure.
