TU Community Dance

TU Community Dance Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance, the TUCD program promotes an appreciation of the aesthetics of dance as an art form.

Towson University Community Dance is an extension of the Department of Dance. Its mission reflects the department’s mission of advocating “Dancing for a Lifetime.”

The comprehensive curriculum, renowned departmental faculty, and highly trained instructors offer excellence in dance education for children, adults and professionals. These three distinct programs – Children’s Dance, Adult Dance ,and

Professional Collaborative Partnerships – greatly contribute to the growth of artists in the state of Maryland. This weekend, TU partners with Dance for PD to host a Parkinson’s Dance Teacher Training and we’re opening the space for a free community movement class for individuals living with Parkinson’s and their support networks.
Led by David Leventhal of the Mark Morris Dance Group and Lucy Bowen, the class will be followed by a resource fair designed to connect and uplift our community.
