Yesterday wasn’t our day, but what a response from this group today.
After a couple tough losses on Saturday, these girls showed up Sunday with incredible energy, positive attitudes, and a determination to compete. Instead of hanging their heads, they bounced back in a big way with a 13-2 win over Edge 14U. The bats came alive, the defense played clean, and our pitching staff was dominant all weekend, combining for over 40 strikeouts.
The biggest thing I’m proud of isn’t the score—it’s the resilience. This team could have easily let yesterday carry over into today, but they chose to respond with effort, energy, and grit.
That momentum carried right into the semifinals, where we faced the tournament’s #1 seed. The game was everything you could ask for—competitive, intense, and hard fought from both sides. We were locked in a 2-2 battle and proving we belonged right there with the top team when Mother Nature had other plans. Unfortunately, the rain rolled in and the tournament was canceled before the game could be finished. We’ll always wonder how it would have ended, but the girls showed they were ready for the challenge.
A couple special shoutouts to end the weekend: Taylor and Macey each hit their FIRST out-of-the-park home runs! What an awesome accomplishment and a memory we will never forget. 💙🥎
