In June, we took Bo to Chicago for the first time. He was 15 months old, and we decided to tag along with Rob for a work trip.
This trip was the most special time with my little man! Other than having a terrible headache the entire trip, Bo and I explored Chicago during the day and got to spend the evening with Rob after work.
These are 4 items that helped make that trip go smoothly:
💕 Portable Playpen: Allowed me to get ready and have some “me time” without worrying about Bo getting into anything. We got the XL one so he had room to play, and that we would have room to get in with him.
💕 Blackout Tent: We shared a bedroom with Bo, so this helped keep him from hearing/seeing us when we went to bed later than him. Of course having a sound machine is a must, too!
💕 Disposable Placemats: A friend of mine introduced me to these. Bo would just throw plates if in front of him, and this is a bit more sanitary than eating straight off the table. Easy clean-up too!
💕 Baby Carrier: Now, this is great when you want to be hands-free AND not push a stroller around everywhere. We used this for an architectural boat tour and at the aquarium. Best baby shower gift, ever! (We actually have 3 different ones!)
