I visited the spot where 2977 Americans lost their lives 6 years later…Ground Zero in 2005. I went there before I competed in the NAGA 10th Anniversary tournament. Being in a place where so many had tragically lost their lives made me want to compete for those who could not. My success in the tournament was due in large part to an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for just being alive. “It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.”-Author unknown.
