September fly fishing does not get much better than this. The crowds are gone, the water is clearing up, and the fish are actively feeding as temperatures drop.

If you have been putting off getting into fly fishing, fall is honestly one of the best times to start. The learning curve is real but the reward is worth every tangle. 🙌

Canting your rifle even a few degrees when shooting at distance can push your impact several inches off target, and most shooters never realize it is happening.

A level tells you the truth your body cannot always feel, especially when you are shooting from an awkward position or elevated terrain.

Your body position changes, your sight picture changes, and your natural point of aim has to adjust on the fly. Shooters who only ever train on an open range often find themselves uncomfortable the moment they have to shoot from an awkward angle or partial cover.

One of the most common mistakes shooters make heading into fall is assuming their zero held from the last time they shot.

Mounts can shift, especially if the rifle has been transported or bumped around. Now is the right time to get back to the range, confirm your zero, and make any adjustments before season opens. 🫡
