🇮🇹 10 days. One incredible experience.

This July, we had the opportunity to do something truly special: collaborate with one of the best fencing clubs in the world, Circolo Scherma FIDES Livorno, to create a unique training experience in Tirrenia, in the heart of Tuscany.

We brought together fencers from around the world to share ideas, visions, training sessions, and an incredible experience.

What came from it was one of the most amazing training experiences we’ve ever been part of: an Olympic training center with pristine facilities, Olympians, National Team members, National Champions from Senior to Y12, and incredibly talented, high-level training partners.

World-class coaching. Strength & Conditioning. Mental Preparation. And two excursions to some of the most iconic historical sites in the world.

The only thing we can say is THANK YOU.

Thank you to our fencers who joined us on the other side of the world for 10 incredible days of training, and to their families for entrusting us with their kids and taking advantage of the opportunity to enjoy some Italian dolce vita. 🌅

Thank you to all the fencers from around the world who participated. It was a true privilege to work together and share this experience. ✨

3 National Championship titles, Ranked 1 for Youth10 Saber program in the country and top10 overall, 13 National Medals at Summer Nationals.

Ranked 1 in Youth Sabre & in the top10 overall. 30+ international medals. 15+ Alumni fencing in NCAA Division I & Division III Programs. 15+ fencers representing their country in their National Teams.

Results come from preparation. 5 camps at our training center here in Torrance, an international training camp in Italy in partnership with Circolo Scherma Fides Livorno, and The Sabre Camp in Norton, MA. Three weeks. So many new faces. Countless games, laughs, new friendships, and LOTS of fencing! ⚔️

This summer, we had the chance to welcome some amazing kids to South Bay Fencing Academy for our Beginner Camps. Through games and fencing, our campers learned new movements, challenged themselves, and discovered that there’s a lot more to fencing than they thought! 🤺🤩

We worked on teamwork, discipline, respect, focus, attention to detail, coordination, and confidence — all while having a whole lot of fun along the way. 💪

Watching everyone learn, compete, encourage one another, and make new friends was one of the best parts of our summer. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made these three weeks so special! Our coaches had just as much fun at the fledging fencers 😂🎉

And to all of our new fencers — we can’t wait to see your faces again and hopefully welcome many of you to this season! ☀️🤺🌊

That’s a wrap on Summer Nationals, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this incredible experience possible.

We’re heading home with 13 National medals— 2 National Championships, 5 podium finishes, Senior Team Gold, countless personal bests, and our most successful Summer Nationals in South Bay Fencing Academy history. More importantly, every athlete contributed to a truly dominant team performance, and we couldn’t be prouder.

To our fencers: thank you for your hard work, determination, resilience, and the pride with which you represented SBFA on and off the strip. You embodied what this club stands for.

These results didn’t happen overnight. They are the product of months of preparation, commitment, and an outstanding Pre-Nationals Camp that set the tone for this event.

A special thank you to Pôle France Relève Sabre ♂️ for lending us the brilliant coach, Julien Medard, he helped raise the level of training for everyone involved and assisted our team for this season’s finale. We are so grateful to you.

To our coaching staff—thank you for your tireless dedication. The work behind the scenes, long before the first bout began, made these performances possible. Your passion and commitment continue to shape not only great athletes, but an exceptional community.

Finally, thank you to every SBFA family for believing in our program and trusting our vision. These results reinforce what we’ve always believed: success is built through integrity, hard work, team spirit, and a strong sense of belonging.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, grateful for everyone who made it possible, and even more excited for what’s ahead. The work continues.

This camp was the best possible preparation we could have done thanks to our staff, our guests, our students, and their families. From footwork/bladework, tactical practice, strategy talks, video analysis, private lessons, competitive bouting, pilates/conditioning, our students gave it their best and our coaches spared no effort.

✨⚔️ An unforgettable experience for the SBFA family. ⚔️✨

We were honored to be invited to the debut event of the World Fencing League by Miles Chamley-Watson, where we had the opportunity to witness an exciting moment in the continued growth of our sport. Thank you!!!!

Seeing fencing showcased on such a grand stage, with so many of the world’s best athletes competing, was truly inspiring for our students. Having the chance to meet athletes they’ve looked up to for years made the experience even more meaningful 💫 Our young fencers came back to training with renewed vigor and enthusiasm for our beloved sport.

Moments like these remind us how powerful this sport can be — not only in competition, but in the way it brings people together and inspires the next generation of fencers. We’re grateful to have been part of such an extraordinary event and excited for what this means for the future of fencing. 🤺🌍✨
