Our name has changed, but our mission remains the same.....
to build a new ice arena and multi-use athletic complex for our region!!!
Four Seasons, For All!

And we have some exciting news!!!

Today, we closed on the purchase of 7 acres of land and the building at 20 Atwood Road in Topsham formerly known as “Roller World”. This location will be the home for Six Rivers Youth Sports which will provide skating, hockey, and a variety of athletic opportunities for more than a dozen communities in our region including Topsham, Bath, Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell, Lisbon and beyond.

You may be familiar with our recent work as “Brunswick Landing Arena” or “Midcoast Community Ice”, both of which have now been folded into Six Rivers Youth Sports, a nonprofit corporation.

Midcoast Community Ice Annual Fundraiser – Help us raise this rink!

As another, yet very different season of skating comes to a close, we are reaching out to provide an update on the work to build a new ice arena for the Bath, Brunswick, Freeport and Topsham region, and to ask your support. We hope that your family and friends found the opportunity to enjoy our outdoor rink this past winter. Or maybe you just enjoyed knowing there was a local place maintained for people to get outdoors and skate. Once again we offered the rink free of charge to the public and more than ever it was embraced as a safe yet fun venue for skating in the midst of this difficult pandemic.

Normally it would be time for our second annual skate-a-thon fundraiser, but not this year. Instead we simply ask all those who see value in a new arena for the youth, and skaters of all ages, in our community to consider a donation in support of our effort. Our 2020 Skate-a-thon raised more than $27,000 in contributions that covered design and permitting costs for the Arena.

We remain on course to build a full size, indoor ice arena and the next big step is to purchase the land and an existing building at the Seacoast campus in Topsham this Spring. This arena will serve as a much needed home for all the skating programs in our region including youth and school hockey programs alongside of figure skating and public recreational skating. While plans are now in progress to raise the full amount needed to build the arena, donations received now will go directly towards the required $100,000 down payment on purchase of the land and existing facilities, the critical next step at this moment.

Recreation Spot

A new rink for winter 2020-21... It's been a long four months since our outdoor ice melted away late in February, and we sincerely hope that you are faring well in this difficult time. With great uncertainty about area rinks including Watson Arena for the coming winter, we have been hard at work every week to advance plans for a new rink for the Midcoast skating community. We have made progress on many fronts and we wanted you to know we are doing everything we can to deliver a fully refrigerated and maintained NHL size rink for Winter 2020-2021. That said, there is much work still to do. Stay tuned, and please note we have changed our page to midcoastcommunityice. Please share this post and be sure follow us there for more news.
