While the Crushers were never fortunate enough to have General Hellativity officiate one of our games, a few of our officials have worked with him and several of us were lucky enough to play under his watchful eye with Team Kansas Roller Derby at Skate Wars last year. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and the officials community.

The Black Diamond Rollers join the rest of the derby community in mourning the sudden loss of General Hellativity. We were incredibly fortunate to have him come and officiate many of our bouts over the years. We are grateful for the time, energy, and heart he brought to our track. Our hearts go out to his wife, colleagues, and everyone else in the derby world who had the pleasure of calling him a friend. He will be deeply missed. 🤍

The Capital City Crushers have been made aware of recent allegations involving one of our league members.

The safety and well-being of our community is top priority. As such we have taken steps to remove the individual's participation in all league activities.

As this is an ongoing legal matter, we cannot comment on the specifics of the allegations or speculate the outcome. We will continue to monitor the situation, and take any actions deemed appropriate.

Off to Regionals! 🎉 Please help us congratulate our Head Skating Official, biANic, as they head to WFTDA Regionals. Their dedication, knowledge, and commitment to the sport make us proud every time they put on the stripes. We can't wait to see them shine on one of roller derby's biggest stages—good luck, biANic, and have an amazing weekend!

Skater highlight ✨ #82 TieDie PiXie (She/Her)✨

While I was attending my 2nd bout the lady next to me mentioned rec league. I told her I might want to join, but I wasn't really sure. And at half time the announcer asked who wanted to try it, so the lady hollered at the announcer and pointed at me. Next thing I know I'm in the middle of the track signing up for the upcoming newbie training. I got through it, and fell in love with it.
