β οΈ LEAGUE UPDATE β οΈ
There was a fight this past Sunday, and I am extremely disappointed with the outcome.
There are really no words to describe the situation. What happened cannot be changed, and unfortunately, our season is once again at risk because of the actions of a few individuals.
At this time, all I can say is that I will be meeting with the people in charge of Bettis Sports Complex to discuss the future of the league. As always, I will do my best to keep the season alive and find a way to move forward.
Because of the incident, 3 teams will not be finishing this season. This was not an easy decision. The hardest part is knowing that many players had absolutely nothing to do with the fight, yet they are now affected by the consequences as well.
Several players, fans, and team captains have been suspended, while others have been banned until further notice. Unfortunately, when situations like this happen, the actions of a few end up affecting many.
For those players who showed respect, maturity, and sportsmanship throughout the season, I truly appreciate you. This is not the outcome that anyone wanted.
π’ SEASON UPDATE
If we are allowed to continue, the Quarterfinals will be played on Sunday the 14th.
Teams that still had a pending game on the schedule will be awarded the 1 point for positioning purposes, as the opposing teams will be recorded as a default loss.
π The races for Top Scorer and Best Goalie are now officially closed, and final standings for those awards will be based on the statistics recorded up to this point.
I will keep everyone updated as soon as I have more information from Bettis Sports Complex.
I ask everyone to remain patient and respectful while we work through this situation.
Thank you to the players, fans, families, referees, and supporters who continue to represent this league the right way.
