Miss Kelly... Signing off as Studio Director
Those that know me, know I love quotes.
“Not everything is supposed to become something beautiful and long-lasting. Sometimes people come into your life to show you what is right and what is wrong, to show you who you can be, to teach you to love yourself, to make you feel better for a little while, or to just be someone to walk with at night and spill your life to. Not everyone is going to stay forever, and we will have to keep on going and thank them for what they’ve given us.”
There is so much to say about Fuzion and all the people I’ve come to know over 18 years of dance. I’m not even sure where to start…
Teaching dance is something that is a part of me. Owning Fuzion is something that is a part of me. Being a mom and wife is something that is a part of me. Many times all the parts fit together so incredibly well and other times there is messiness when parts are disconnected. What I know, is that all the parts, perfect or messy, have taken me on this extravagant, unpredictable, magical journey! So many have reached out to tell me how much Fuzion/myself have touched their life through dance, and I am so incredibly humbled by all the kind words.
Eighteen years! Over the last 18 years, this dance family has grown to a massive web of loving and caring human beings of all ages. What I want you all to know is YOU have touched my life in a way I could never repay you for! 18 years of memories, tears, hugs, performances, false eyelashes, costumes, competitions, highs, lows, breakthroughs, smiles, setbacks, trials, tribulations, and so much more! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU every one of you for touching my heart and being a part of Fuzion School of Dance!
In some ways, this feels like an ending, but really it’s a new chapter for the amazing dance community we’ve called Fuzion for 18 years… our new chapter will be No Boundaries Dance Collective year one. It will look different, yes. But it will continue to building on the Fuzion legacy. What an exciting time for dance in Topeka! Carly/No Boundaries, is ready for this new dance adventure and I’m excited to be a part of it!
As you your last Fuzion News, Dr Suess would remind you, “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”. Remember all of the wonderful moments you made at Fuzion and be grateful! Dance has brought so many people into my life… people I would have never met otherwise. And it doesn’t stop here. I’m asking you to walk with me through this transition and trust the magic of new beginnings! I’ll close with one last quote… “if you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello!”
Arms up, my friends… We ARE Fuzion Strong!!!!
