Update. With all the changes going on I wanted to get everyone up to speed. Yes, Pinnacle is merging with Berkshire. I will personally be managing/overseeing the fitness side of that location and most of the Pinnacle team is making the move as well. We will immediately begin doing the following to the Berkshire location over the next few weeks:

-Redoing the main gym floor area with rubber flooring
-New paint and other updates to the main gym walls
-We are bringing around 25 of our machines to this facility. Things like our Leg Press, Hack Squat and a lot of our plate loaded equipment.
-Bring our Stairmaster cardio unit
-Bring all of our Pro-style dumbbells and around 5.000lbs of weights, bars, specialty bars and a bunch of other odds and ends.

Berkshire is going to very quickly become the best equipped facility in the area as well as the cleanest and best maintained.

Our objective is to recreate as close as possible the facility that you are accustomed from an equipment selection, service and cleanliness standpoint plus give you access to all the other amenities that Berkshire and the other local facilities have to offer.

All current Pinnacle members are welcome to move over and will NOT have any increase in billing prices. You will have 24/7 access to Berkshire and ALL other local fitness locations as well as all golf courses, swimming pools, classes, boxing, tanning and any other main service that Great Life provides for your current rate.

This is a pretty tremendous value and we look forward to serving you there. If you do not want to make this move please fb message us and we will send you the 30 day cancellation form.

Dear Members,
Over the course of the past 18 months, I have attempted to reach an agreement with Lindemuth, Inc. (the landlord) to purchase this property. It is my belief that in order to continue moving Pinnacle forward in a positive direction and to continue providing a high level of service I need to acquire this property. By owning this property, I could invest in the deferred maintenance issues present and begin building for a more secure future. Over the past few months, it has become increasingly apparent that Lindemuth, Inc. has no intention of selling this property to me. While many offers and scenarios have been submitted, none have been accepted.
After many months of deliberation, I have determined to merge Pinnacle Fitness into Great Life Golf and Fitness. Under this merger Great Life and Pinnacle will work together to provide our customers with a high-quality fitness experience. While our original location will be closing, I will personally be overseeing the daily operations of the Berkshire (3720 SW 45th Street) fitness facility during and after this transition. Portions of our current staff and trainers will also be making this move. It is our plan to continue offering our current level of customer service at the Berkshire location and we encourage all our members to feel welcome there.
All current members who wish to move with us in this transition are welcome to do so. Provided you do not have a Premier or Level 3 account (turf access) your current rates will not be affected. If you currently have a Premier or Level 3 membership you will only be billed for the fitness center portion of your membership (approximately half of your current rate). If you have a Premier, Level 3, or Next Level membership, please contact Adam Schroeder at 785-633-5405 as soon as possible to keep an active account to the Next Level facility (indoor turf).
Your membership will include access to all local Great Life fitness locations, golf courses, classes, boxing, racquetball, swimming pools, tanning beds, hydro-massage and the Great Play center for kids. If you do not wish to make this transition, please fill out the 30-day membership cancellation form. If you have paid in full for your membership your membership will be good at Great Life through your current expiration date.
Tuesday, March 23rd will be the last day that Pinnacle Fitness will be in operation at our current location. You can utilize the Berkshire facility the last week of this month. Please stop by Berkshire (3720 SW 45th Street) and let them know you are from Pinnacle. Once I am on site in early April, I will get all the official paperwork filled out with you.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our great members who have supported this business over the past 14 years. It has been a challenging yet rewarding experience and while I am disappointed that my ultimate vision for this location will not come to a full fruition, I am excited to keep serving you in this new capacity.

Is Pinnacle a good fit for you? If you don’t enjoy busy and overcrowded gyms then it may be for you. If you don’t like the idea of members bringing in unlimited guests for free that make it more difficult for you to complete your workouts then it might be for you too. If you are interested in a facility that is known for providing the cleanest and best maintained gym in the area then you might want to check it out. If you are looking for a facility with tons of equipment variety then you might want to swing by. If supporting a locally owned and operated business is more appealing to you then supporting the large chain gyms then it might be worth your while as well.

Want to build up your quads, hams and glutes? Hit the hack squat machine. Most gyms don’t carry them anymore and that’s too bad. Get a full range of motion and don’t sacrifice your form for more weight. Same goes for almost all other exercises that you perform.
