Fayetteville Bike Polo

Many of you may not know this, but our club has been without a polo court for almost two months now. Most of us are free to play only after normal working hours (so basically, when it is dark), but the court we have been playing on doesn't have lights and the apartment complex doesn't want us installing our own lights because of liability reasons. This has basically crippled our club.

After deliberating for a while, we've decided to reach out to all of our homies out there to see if we could come play at your apartment tennis court or know of any locations we could play at? At this point, we'd be willing to play on a roof if it was semi-regulation sized with a decent asphalt surface. With spring rolling around, and the city of Fayetteville putting us in their plans to build us a court, we'd love to get the club going again and host a spring smash. Could we come to your complex? Any ideas would be awesome!

WOOOOOOOO!!!!

Meet Ann DeSanctis of Denver Bike Polo, one of the first four winners of our development scholarship!
"I started playing polo in DC in 2012 but, as soon as I felt comfortable with the sport and playing regularly, I tore my ACL and had surgery which kept me out for 9 months. Only a few months after I started playing again I tore my ACL/meniscus playing at the Dames tournament in 2015. Now, two surgeries later, I'm finally back out playing in Denver (where I moved for grad school) and my confidence is starting to get back up. I played team sports growing up and, thus, receive coaching very well but I have never had true coaching in polo. I think Fixcamp would provide that coaching and allow me to really push past the basics to learn not only important individual skills but also team play. I see improving my skills as a way to improve my safety as a player to prevent future injury because I would like to play polo for a long time to come!"
