📣A few announcements📣
We have added a color coordination system to all of our bars. This should help all our members who may not be familiar with the bar variations.
Blue = deadlift bar. They’re a little thinner and a little longer. If you try squatting or pressing with this bar, you’re not gonna have a fun time 😂.
Red = standard bar. Some of them are power bars, some are stiff bars, but they can all be used for squat, bench, and other pressing exercises.
Green = Olympic bar. These bars have a little more roll in them to allow for easier transition during a clean and jerk or sn**ch. They are fine to do standard presses with as well, just know it’s got a little different roll to it and the knurling (marks on the bar) are different than your standard bar.
White = outdoor bar. These are the *only* bars that should be used outside in the turf. Please do not take any other bars out there, and definitely return all bars inside when done.
We added more vertical racks and some signage to remind everyone not to drop the calibrated plates, as well as a reminder in the color system.
🚧🚧We added another scanner inside barbell at the front desk. ALL members and guests must scan in here. Even if you walk in behind someone, you need to scan your key tag here so we have a record of you coming in the gym. It was a little inconvenient before with the only scanner on the outside, so now we have this one to help make things easier.
Thanks to all our wonderful members for giving us some feedback on things that would be helpful, hopefully these small additions make things easier!
In strength,
Rise Barbell
