What a GREAT basketball season!!!

Thank you parents, family members and the community for supporting these girls throughout the 2025-2026 season 🙂

Finished 12-13. First back to back double digit win seasons since 2001-02/2002-03! 6 conference wins, most since 2001-02.
Offensive Player of the Year: Freya Alber
Defensive Player of the Year: Anita Ziert
Darci Rae Memorial Award: Lizzy Arnott
Hatchet Award: Lizzy Long

Freya Alberg named 1st Team All Conference
Lizzy Long named All Conference Honorable Mention

Freya broke/set 8 school records this season!
1000 point scorer (2nd all time, 24 points behind)
Most career rebounds with 985
Most points for a season
Most FGM in a season
Most career FGM
Most FT made in a career
Most blocks in a game
Most blocks in a season
Most blocks for a career

Also congrats to Lizzy Long who tied two single game records for most steals in a game (twice with 11) and most assists in a game!

Tough loss for the Lady Hatchets. Our hats go off to Spooner for a game well played. Thank you to Freya Alberg for an absolutely outstanding career. We will always be proud of you and wish you all the best as you pursue your college basketball career.

Although it didn’t end like we wanted, I’m super proud of these girls. They fought all season long. We had 12 wins, including 6 conference wins. Prior to last season, the Hatchets hadn’t had a double digit win season since 2002-2003 and now have done it back to back seasons.

Thank you to all our fans and for our supporters. It was great to see more fans in the stands this season. We are excited to continue to improve and build the program. .

Tough loss tonight to conference champion Mosinee. The girls fought hard as the battled to a halftime score of 22-17 but just not enough in the tank and fell 65-30. Very proud of the girls. Now we prepare for Spooner as the playoffs begin Tuesday at the Hatchet House at 7pm. Please come out and support these Lady Hatchets as they try to get win #13 and move on in the playoffs.
