Introducing Movement Monday!
Each week, we’ll share choreography tips, tricks, and coaching insights designed to help you get more out of every movement.
This week, we’re focusing on something that goes beyond simply teaching the choreography: teaching the “why.”
As coaches, it’s easy to focus on what our athletes need to do—but helping them understand why the details matter creates stronger, more intentional performers.
The smallest details can make the biggest difference. From body positions and angles to timing, placement, and energy, every detail has a purpose. When athletes understand the why behind a movement, they’re more likely to execute it with intention, make corrections independently, and carry those skills into everything they do.
So this week, challenge yourself to not just say, “Do it this way.”Instead, explain “Here’s why we do it this way.”
Let’s coach with purpose and help our athletes understand that the details aren’t just details—they’re what make the movement come to life!
