01/09/2026
Attention all potential NorthEast baseball players! There may be some snow on the ground, but planning for the 2026 Summer and Spring Legion baseball seasons is well underway.
This summer, NorthEast is looking to field teams at all levels 13u-19u.
NorthEast is planning for teams at the 17u (born in September 2008 or later- no graduating seniors), 15u (born in September 2010 or later), and 13u (May 1, 2012- August 31st 2014) levels.
We will field a 19u team (born in 2007 or later and all graduating seniors) if there is enough interest by the 19u Registration deadline of February 6th.
This spring, NorthEast will be fielding two teams (13u and 15u Middle School) open to all Middle School baseball players.
What to do now:
If you are interested in playing for NorthEast this summer or spring, the only thing that needs to be done now is to register by filling out American Legion Form 2, attached. Filling out this form is not a binding commitment, but it's the only way we know that you are interested in playing. Please fill out the form as soon as you can so you don’t miss any communications. The 19u deadline for filling out this form is February 6th.
If you are interested in playing 19u and have remaining 17u eligibility (born after September 1st 2008), please reach out separately and let me know.
Middle School players- Please reach out separately and indicate interest in spring, summer, or both.

Summer information:
Practices will start as soon as the High School/Middle School season ends in late May. Games will likely start in early June for 17u, May 30th/31st for 13u and 15u, and slightly later for 19u. Playoffs will start between July 15th and 25th depending on level and number of teams. The season will end with the State Championship Game on Saturday August 1st. Please do not book a vacation if at all possible during the last half of July or first weekend of August! Generally there are 3 games in a week (2 weekday and 1 weekend), more if there are rain makeups, plus practices.
This season 17u and 19u will compete in the Stars and Stripes statewide Legion tournament June 26th-28th. New this season we will play in an out of state tournament at 13u/15u/17u.
NorthEast is happy to consider players who play for another organization and want to play a part-time or weekday only schedule for NorthEast. Please text or call Bennett to discuss.
There will be a tryout/evaluation process prior to the start of the HS/Middle School season.
The Registration Fee is $525. This is discounted to $500 if a $200 refundable deposit is paid by March 20th. No payment is due at this time. This fee is 100% refundable if you don't make the team or decide not to play. The fee includes league registration, insurance, umpires, baseballs, field maintenance, a 20-22 game regular season schedule, possible additional non-league games, the Stars and Stripes tournament for 17u/19u, an out of state tournament at 13u/15u/17u (players pay travel costs), a double elimination state playoff tournament at each level, and a uniform kit consisting of one jersey and one hat.
We are interested in new players! Please let anyone know who may be interested. At least one parent/guardian needs to live in Tolland, Stafford, Ashford, Union, or Willington.

Spring preseason information:
NorthEast will be fielding two teams (13u and 15u Middle School) open to all Middle School baseball players. This will be a VERY LIMITED 4-5 game preseason schedule, with minimal or no practices. The purpose of the spring preseason is to prepare for the upcoming summer season, and to supplement the middle school baseball season. Games will be on Sunday afternoons, and are highly dependent on the weather. More experienced 13u eligible players will be placed on the 15u Middle School roster in the spring. Total cost is $75. The season begins in late March, and will end in mid May. Interested players should fill out the above Form 2. For additional information, please text or email GM Bennett Kleinberg at 860-306-3414 or [email protected].
