The course is playing great currently.
Thanks goes out to the people who help keep it nice. Eric Desmarais and I (Les) have done w**d whacking on many of the fairways and greens. Mike Ellis and I have done some tree work, and I have done some tree trimming and general upkeep. Thanks to Pete Moulin for maintaining the L & F box and getting discs back to people. Thanks to the Ladies for the bench on 16 and for helping keep the trash removed. It needed help the last time I was there. Thanks everyone for supporting Cross Farms DG and for helping to keep the course nice. As always, seasoned golfers should inform new golfers as to proper course etiquette. Lastly, if you see things that need picking up, please take it upon yourself to move sticks and branches to the side and remove any trash.
The course is playing great. 20 years this year. Cheers!

Much thanks to Chris Gallagher for organizing a small workday , with tools and materials, and for sponsoring and building a new platform tee box for Alt 2, with help from members of Team Tolland (present and former members).
Also - cleaned out and reset the short bridge on 2's fairway and trimmed some branches.
But wait, that's not all - New Bridge to compliment the other new bridge across the brook on alt 14, plus cleaned out the brook and lined it with rocks to prevent spillover
Good workday by a crew of about 6 or 7 people.

I cleaned up the broken tree on hole 16 today. It was a monster. I tried to keep it as a feature but it all fell down during cutting and cleanup

Have you noticed the improvements to the course lately? Holes 5 & 6 got new stone dust and levelling. Tee boxes were re-built new on 8 & 9. New bridge half built on 8. much tree and stick pickup. There is still more to do. Last year into this year we made new tee boxes for alt 6, reg 8, alt 17 & 18. Bridge will be repaired or replaced on 14. Your course funds hard at work. Take care if you kick hard right short off the tee of hole 9. yellow jacket nest somewhere on the ground. I got stung on the hand today (not bad). Bee careful out there!
