🌬️ Windy Days & Boating around Point Place/Toledo! ⛵
It’s another light, but breezy one out there today. While a little wind can make for some fun sailing and great waves, it also means we need to stay sharp on the water.
Quick reminders for safe windy day boating:

Check the forecast and wind speeds before heading out
Smaller boats and less experienced captains — maybe sit it out if it’s gusting over 15-20 knots

Lucky for today... 6/13/26... Under 6 knots expected. But then again, it is Lake Erie, and anything can happen.

Who’s still heading out today?

Stay safe, have fun, and we’ll see you soon!⚓

⚓☀️ The 2026 Boating Season Is Officially Underway! ☀️⚓

The docks are filling up, the boats are back in the water, and another great season is beginning at Point Place Boat Club!

Whether you're planning a relaxing sunset cruise, a day of fishing, a trip to the islands, or simply spending time with friends and family at the club, we hope this season brings you plenty of great memories on the water.

As everyone gets back into the boating routine, please remember to perform your pre-season safety checks, inspect dock lines and fenders, and observe no-wake zones throughout the area.

Most importantly, take time to enjoy what makes boating special—the friendships, the sunsets, the adventures, and the shared love of life on the water.

Wishing all our members a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable boating season. See you at the club!

Marina etiquette reminder for the season ⚓☀️

Please remember to maintain slow “no wake” speeds when entering or leaving no wake zones. Even small wakes can cause boats to surge against docks, damage fenders, strain dock lines, and create safety hazards for people boarding or working around their boats.

A controlled speed also makes docking easier, improves visibility around tight areas, and helps protect the shoreline and marina infrastructure. With busy summer weekends ahead, patience and courtesy on the water go a long way toward keeping the docks safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you to all members for helping make our boating community a great place to spend the season! 🚤
