Happy International Dog Day! 🐾🐕🇺🇸

Four-legged heroes do far more than offer companionship; for many recovering service members, a trained service dog is the key to regaining independence, healing from hidden wounds, and safely reconnecting with the world.

With your support of BVL, we help veterans obtain service dogs from partner organizations like Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, which train and match service dogs with veterans navigating PTS, traumatic brain injury, and physical recovery, all at no cost to the veteran.

As we fuel our Mission 2 Million campaign this season, we are proud to keep pairing our nation's heroes with the canine partners they deserve! 🚀❤️

🎳 GREAT LAKES JR. GOLD TOUR COMES TO MIRACLE LANES! 🎳

We’re excited to welcome the Great Lakes Jr. Gold Tour to Miracle Lanes in Toledo on Sunday, August 30, 2026!

This is a 2027 Junior Gold Qualifier featuring youth bowlers from multiple age divisions competing for SMART Scholarships, awards, and Junior Gold qualifying spots.

⭐ 2027 Junior Gold Qualifier
👥 5 Age Divisions: U12, U14, U16, U18 & Collegiate Adult
🎯 Maximum of 96 bowlers

HOW THE ELIMINATOR WORKS:
Bowlers start with 6 qualifying games. The field is cut in half, remaining bowlers compete in 4 more games, the field is cut again, and finalists bowl 2 games to finish the tournament.

⏰ CHECK-IN: 7:30–8:15 AM
🎳 Practice begins at 8:35 AM
🏁 Qualifying begins at 8:45 AM
🏆 Awards ceremony approximately 5:15 PM

A great charity to support.

84 years of commitment. One unwavering mission. 🎳🇺🇸

In 1942, at the height of World War II, leaders across the bowling industry came together to form the Bowlers Victory Legion. Their goal was simple yet powerful: boost morale for troops overseas and support wounded servicemen returning home. From funding medical evacuation planes to shipping portable bowling lanes directly to active-duty units, our community rallied around America's heroes.

Today, as the Bowlers to Veterans Link, that legacy continues. BVL has provided over $59 million in total aid to fund recreational therapy, service dogs, VR wellness, and adaptive sports programs for hospitalized and recovering veterans.

Through our current Mission 2 Million campaign, we are carrying that 1942 promise into the future, aiming to expand our reach and brighten even more lives this year. 🚀

This Independence Day marks a truly historic milestone as our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and unity.

The Greater Toledo USBC Association wishes all of our bowlers, volunteers, proprietors, sponsors, and supporters a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. Thank you for everything you do to make the sport of bowling such an important part of our community.

As you celebrate with family and friends, please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that have made our freedoms possible—and remember to celebrate safely.
