With health issues, the past 2 seasons, I have missed many games. I'm hoping to be back to the norm beginning Friday, November 8th, attending as many games as possible. I know we have a number of competing fan pages on Facebook, but one thing I would like to start up again was something we did starting in 2013, a Player of the Month plaque. This was something I did using the stats from 3 stars of the game and pictures from home games. Sometimes I had also done special plaques, for example, Jeff Lerg Batman hanging in the net, or 3 photos of Evan Rankin used to create his bobblehead. From time to time, I may ask for fan input for ties, etc. As always, I never intended for Toledo Walleye Boosters page to compete with other fan group pages. It was developed as a way to post photos and info for our fanbase.

Really hoping to attend many more games this season and hoping to get fan and game photos for memories.

The upcoming season: With improvement in my health, while not 100%, I hope to make most games this season. That should mean more posts and photos.

Walleye Boosters does not intend to contend with other great Walleye fan Facebook groups. My goal is to keep fans informed and post photos and info for engagement and enjoyment.

Overall, Sandi and I are doing well, and while I continue with chemotherapy and radiation, my prognosis is good, and I have moderate strength. I did lose my hair for a while, but it is slowly growing back. We will miss Opening Weekend due to a visit to San Diego to see mom, who is also fighting cancer at 91. But we should be ready for the following weekend.

Let's go fish and happy fall to everyone. Share our page with others who might like to see photos. By the way, I hope to post more photos from last season that did not get posted.

Signs for the season:

After DRW Prospects beat Dallas prospects yesterday, a few points shared:

Alexandre Doucet scored a pair of goals while Charlie Paquette, Gabriel Seger and Jakub Rychlovsky also scored for the Red Wings prospects.

Doucet, who’ll play in Grand Rapids this season, closed out the scoring by whipping in a pass from Amadeus Lombardi (two assists) and scoring into an empty net.

Carter Gylander, a seventh-round pick in 2019 who’ll be starting his pro career this season, likely with ECHL Toledo, made 17 saves for the win, playing the entire game.

12 years, seems so long ago but feels like yesterday. Heaven Needed a D-Man.

A dedicated group of Boosters sent flowers to Bryan's memorial service in the name of all Boosters, FINatics, and fans. We just got a picture from Bryan's family thanking us for the nice thoughts and the arrangement. Thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the Rufenach family and friends, as well as his fellow players. Thanks to those who were part of this gift.
