Your core is way more than your abs. It’s fascia, breath, posture, stability, stress management, and the reason you sometimes feel tight in places that seem to make zero sense. 😅

Join Danni for a fun and informative Functional Fascia workshop focused on releasing tension through the ribs, diaphragm, abdomen, hips, and spine using therapy balls, breathwork, and mindful movement.

Expect:
• deep release
• better breathing
• improved mobility
• core connection
• and a few “OH wow” moments along the way

Perfect for all levels, especially if you feel tight, stressed, stiff, or disconnected in your body.

Sundays just got a little more relaxing. 🌙

We've moved Flowt Meditation to 7–8 PM, and it feels like the perfect way to close out the weekend.

Our spiritual focus this month is Resilience: staying steady through stress.

Most people think resilience means pushing through, toughing it out, or somehow becoming unshakeable. I think it has a lot more to do with creating space. Space to breathe. Space to think. Space to respond instead of react.

By Sunday evening, you've probably done all the things. Family obligations, errands, yard work, social plans, workouts, meal prep... and now Monday is peeking around the corner.

Flowt is your chance to slow down before the week begins. To let the weekend settle. To quiet the noise. To reconnect with yourself.

Not because life is about to get easier.

Because when life does get busy, you'll be more prepared to meet it.

Join us Sundays from 7–8 PM and Flowt into the week feeling grounded, clear, and ready for whatever comes your way. ✨

🥜🍇 Volunteers Needed This Friday! 🍞

We're looking for a few helping hands to help make peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for Food for Thought this Friday evening from 6-7 PM at Food for Thought.

It's a simple way to make a big impact on those who rely on weekend food support.

Grab a friend, spend a little time giving back, and help us spread some kindness (and peanut butter!). Families welcome!

If you'd like to help, let us know at YogajaYoga.com/events or send us a message. 💜

Our focus this month is Resilience.
But what does that mean?
How do we measure it or ask ourselves, am I resilient?!

It doesn't have to be through big life changes, it could be something as small as a package not being delivered on time or a hiccup in your day that causes you to be late to a commitment.

We are looking at Resilience through the Niyama Tapas (intentional effort/inner fire) and the Kṣama, the Hindu virtue of forgiveness, patience, and softening.

Swipe through for a reflection exercise to see.

Want stronger abs?
Stop crunching harder and start breathing smarter. 💨💪

One of the reasons the abdominal work in our LYT classes is so effective is because we pair every movement with very specific breathwork.

✨The details that matter:

🫁 BREATH RETENTION
When we lift up off our shoulder blades on our exhale, we hold the breath, this is called breath retention. Pausing our breath helps create the internal pressure needed to engage the deepest layers of the core, including the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor.

🙌 HEAD PRESS = LESS NECK TENSION
You'll hear us cue you to press the back of your head into your hands. This helps relax the muscles at the front of the neck through a process called reciprocal inhibition, so your abs can do the work instead of your neck.

🦴 RESPECT YOUR CURVES
We do not flatten the low back into the floor.

Instead, we focus on:
✔️ Keeping the sacrum grounded
✔️ Maintaining the natural curves of the spine
✔️ Creating ground reaction force through the floor

This helps your core function the way it was designed to.

💡 Small adjustments.
💡 Better muscle recruitment.
💡 Smarter core training.

Have questions about how to get the most out of your LYT abdominals? Ask your teacher before or after class. We love helping you fine-tune the details.

🔥 Ready to get your core LYT up?

Start with 5 weeks of unlimited classes for just $50 (Aerial excluded, offer expires 8/1/26).

🌙 Sunday evenings just got a little softer.

Our Flowt Meditation has a new time: Sundays from 7–8 PM.

Think of it as the bridge between your weekend and your week. A chance to step away from the laundry, meal prep, endless to-do lists, and mental tabs left open in your brain.

Come stretch, breathe, float, and reset.

Leave feeling calmer, clearer, and a little more prepared for whatever Monday has in store.

No experience needed. Just bring yourself.

Know a runner with "tight" hips? Wobbly knees? Knee pain that just won't quit? 🍑

Let's talk about your Glute Med.

This muscle sits on the outside of your hip, underneath the upper portion of your glutes. It may not be the biggest muscle in your backside, but it plays a huge role in running performance, balance, and keeping your knees tracking well with every stride.

Every time your foot hits the ground during a run, your glute medius helps stabilize your pelvis and control the position of your femur. When it's not pulling its weight, the knee often pays the price.

Sometimes what feels like "tight hips" isn't actually tightness at all. It's a lack of stability. Your body creates tension to compensate for weakness.

This is one of the reasons we spend so much time on lateral movement, single-leg balance work, side lunges, and resistance exercises in our LYT Yoga and Strength classes.

Running happens one leg at a time, but most people only train forward and backward. Your body needs strength and control in all three planes of motion.

A strong glute med can help support:
✔ Better running mechanics
✔ More stable knees
✔ Improved balance
✔ Happier hips and low back
✔ Greater efficiency with every stride

Your side butt is doing more work than you think. Give it some love. 😉
