I'm definitely my own worse critic. Putting finish on a cue is probably my biggest issue. But when I get the reaction from my customers like this one I got tonight it makes it all worth it!
I just finished this cue over the weekend and it arrived at it's new home in S. Carolina today.
"Wow. This thing is even nicer in person.
If it plays half as good as it looks than I'll be happy. Your work is as good as anyone else's I've seen. If not better. Great attention to detail. What is your woodworking background? That butterfly splice is impressive"?
It doesn't get much better than that!
