Hello Everyone! My name is Kristen Boykin. I am the new head softball coach at Toano! I was an assistant coach at Warhill for 6 years, and I am currently the head field hockey coach there. I am excited to be starting my first season at the school I teach at! This is my 9th year teaching self contained special education at TMS! Thank you so much for following! Well, we finally played a game last night! Of course, my camera decided to stop working, so no pics this time, sorry! While we didn’t win, the girls fought hard. We had girls that had to step into positions they’d never played before, and they should be very proud of themselves for the effort they made. We had some great hits including a home run by Morgan, and two home runs by Kenzie – fantabulous!! Let’s not forget our dugout – they were engaged, always on the fence, and cheering loudly the whole game. I hope they know what a difference that makes – that’s what it means to be a team, supporting each other always. Great job ladies, you all made us very proud!

Here it is, the first installment of pictures... For those of you that are new to the team, I like to take pictures at the games - not because I'm good at it, I just enjoy it. There are a few things you should know - I repeat, I'm NOT a photographer, I just hope to get lucky enough to get one or two good pictures. I try my best to get a picture of all the girls, but that doesn't always happen, please don't think I'm ignoring anyone. I tend to get caught up in the game and forget to take pics. I'm not friends with all the parents on facebook, so please, share this with anyone I missed. I love these girls and love watching them play, so I just try to get some memories on film if I can. I just tag everyone on the first picture in the album so everyone knows it's there. Feel free to tag others, or untag yourself if you'd like :) I hope to see everyone at the game Monday!!

Tryouts and conditioning/pre-tryout information!! Please be sure everyone knows, pre-tryouts/conditioning start next week, February 6th! Monday - Thursday 2:30 - 4:30 outside - weather permitting!!! If outside isn't an option on any of those days, then the times will be as follows in the gym: Monday and Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30; Tuesday and Thursday 4:30 - 6:30. Tryouts are February 13th at 2:30!!
