Some of our Yoga Shala Teachers & friends have traded their mats for backpacks and are currently walking the Camino de Santiago through Portugal. 🇵🇹🥾🌿
Depending on where the journey begins, the Portuguese Camino can stretch well over 150 miles, with days spent walking through villages, countryside, coastal paths, cobblestone streets, and centuries of history.
But the Camino was never really about how quickly you reach the destination.
It’s about who you become along the way.
One foot in front of the other.
One conversation. One quiet morning. One tired afternoon. One unexpected view. One breath at a time.
Sounds a little like yoga, doesn’t it? 😉
And naturally, when Yoga Shala people walk the Camino, a little yoga is bound to find its way onto the trail. A stretch here, a pose there, maybe a Downward Dog when those walking legs start questioning their life choices. 😂🧘♀️
Because whether you’re traveling 150+ miles across Portugal or simply moving through an ordinary Tuesday, the practice reminds us:
The destination gives us direction.
The journey is where the living happens.
Walk well, friends. Take it all in. And keep sprinkling a little yoga along the way. 💚
Buen Camino! 🥾🇵🇹🙏
