We are hosting a fall Hunter Education Classroom Course, Sunday September 29th 8am- 4pm. Deadline to register is Friday, September 27th at 12:00 PM and attendance is capped at 25 students.

Location: Cedar County Conservation Board Office, 713 E South St Tipton, IA 52772

This is a full classroom course, not intended for a field day. Participants are expected to be there for the length of the class. Lunch will be provided, however if you have a special diet please feel free to bring your own lunch.

Hunter education is a mandatory program that is designed to introduce students to several life-long skills that are important to many different types of outdoor recreational opportunities. The course teaches students basic survival and first aid skills, water safety, wildlife identification, the basics of wildlife management, hunting laws and firearm/archery safety. Hunter education also stresses the importance of individual responsibility and outdoor ethics.

Iowa law requires that anyone born after January 1, 1972 must be certified in hunter education before they are eligible to purchase an Iowa hunting license.

Due to unforeseen circumstances this class will be rescheduled. Sorry for any inconvenience.I know that nobody in Iowa is required to have this but Iowa has reciprocity with many states so if you do any traveling this is a must have.
