It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of fellow team roper, Pete Winters. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

On Sunday, September 20, Pete ran down the arena and turned his last steer. Clean on 2 and ready to make that 3rd run, but the man upstairs had a different plan for Pete.

We’ll always remember Pete doing what he loved, in the arena and surrounded by the roping family he loved.

Please keep the Winters family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the difficult days ahead. ❤️🙏

As a side note, we want to recognize a very special young man, Nathan Thomas.

Nathan has been part of our team at events and at the ranch for the past three years. He’s a senior at Tarleton and plans to attend fire school after graduating in December.

When our guys realized that Pete was not well, Nathan immediately stepped in and performed CPR until the medics arrived. He gave everything he had trying to revive Pete, and we will forever be grateful for his courage, compassion, and selflessness. Nathan, we are so incredibly proud of you.❤️
