Stop sitting around between sets.

At RYPT, we’re intentional about how we use our time in the weight room. One of my favorite ways to do that is pairing core work between our main strength movements.

Here are 3 exercises we use to challenge anti-extension, anti-rotation, and overall trunk stability:
→ High Plank Shoulder Taps
→ High Plank Valslide Circles
→ Sandbag Pull-Throughs

The goal isn’t just to do more work. It’s to make the work we’re already doing more purposeful.
Train with a purpose.

Meet RYPT athletes Erin Toppi Erin Toppi & Avery Lynch ave and hear firsthand what their journey at RYPT has looked like.

The work, the growth, the confidence, and everything that happens behind the scenes.

We could tell you what makes RYPT different… but we’d rather let our athletes do it.

This group is special. 💪

They worked hard all summer, constantly looking for ways to improve, trusting the process, showing up early, and getting the work done.

They didn’t all come from the same sports background, but they came together, supported one another, built relationships, and created an amazing environment where everyone could get better.

It’s always a pleasure watching these kids grow not only into incredible athletes, but into even better people.

And the best part? Getting to see so many of them take that next step and go on to compete at the next level. 🎓🏆

Proud of this group. The work they put in this summer will stay with them long after the season ends.

Keep working. Keep growing. Keep trusting the process.

This is exactly how we program an RYPT session from start to finish⬇️⬇️⬇️

We don’t just put together a list of exercises and call it a workout. There’s a reason behind the order, the movements we choose, and what we’re asking athletes to accomplish in each phase.

We start with movement prep to get the body ready to train: focusing on mobility, stability, activation, coordination, and overall movement quality.

From there, we move into speed and change of direction, teaching athletes how to accelerate, decelerate, and control their bodies at higher speeds.

Next comes plyometrics and power, where we work on producing force, but just as importantly, absorbing and controlling that force.

Then we build strength, creating the foundation athletes need to become stronger, more powerful, more resilient, and better prepared for the demands of their sport.

Finally, we finish with conditioning, preparing athletes to continue performing at a high level even as fatigue starts to set in.

Every phase builds on the one before it.

That’s what we mean when we say nothing we do is random.

We’re not just trying to make athletes tired. We’re training with a purpose.
Save this post for a look inside how we program at RYPT.

A hard workout can make you tired. A great program makes you a better athlete.

There’s a difference. At RYPT, nothing is random.

We train speed while athletes are fresh because speed requires quality. We teach them to control and redirect that speed because sport rarely happens in a straight line. We develop power by teaching athletes to produce AND absorb force. Then we build strength as the foundation underneath it all.

And conditioning? That comes last for a reason.
Because the game doesn’t stop when you’re tired.
Speed requires freshness.

Change of direction requires control.
Power requires intent.
Strength builds the foundation.
Conditioning prepares you to perform when fatigue hits.

Every phase has a purpose. Everything builds on what came before it.

We don’t train weightlifters.
We train athletes.
TRAIN WITH PURPOSE.

2026 Shore Field Hockey RYPT Olympics 🇪🇸🏆

The perfect way to wrap up an incredible summer.

Since the beginning of the summer, these girls showed up every Tuesday and Thursday morning with one thing in common: they were committed. They trained hard, stayed consistent, brought great attitudes, and pushed each other to get better every single session.

So we finished the only way we know how… with the 2026 Shore Field Hockey RYPT Olympics.

Congratulations to Team Spain 🇪🇸 for taking home the gold! 🥇 It was a day filled with competition, teamwork, laughs, and unforgettable memories.

But this wasn’t the finish line.

Everything they built this summer the strength, speed, confidence, and habits now carries into the fall season. Championships aren’t won in August, but they’re built by what you do in the months leading up to it.

We’re proud of every athlete in this group. Now it’s time to take everything you’ve earned and let it show on the field.

Good luck this fall. Go make all that hard work count. 💪🏽🏑

Everyone celebrates the performance. Few appreciate the preparation.

For every race, meet, or game, there are months of training that no one sees. Early mornings. Repeated reps. Missed lifts. Small improvements. Countless moments that never make the highlight reel.

Success isn’t built on competition day, it’s built in the days leading up to it.

The athletes who make the biggest strides aren’t always the most talented. They’re the ones who commit to the process, even when the results aren’t immediate.

Fall in love with the process, not just the outcome. That’s where real growth happens.

Save this as a reminder for the days when progress feels slow. Your consistency today is what creates your performance tomorrow.
