Great Illinois Swimmers - GILS GILS is a competitive swim team offering professional coaching and technique instruction for swimmers. The team is for boys and girls through the age of 18.

GILLS is a competitive swim team offering professional coaching and and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. The swimmers compete in separate girls/boys events according to their age. There are six age di

visions: 6 & under, 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, and 15-18. Swimmers are placed in age categories according to their age at the time of the particular swim meet. The team competes in two seasons, winter and summer. The winter season runs approximately from the months of September through February while the summer season runs April through July. GILLS is a nonprofit club, is a registered team with Illinois Swimming Inc. and competes in the South Suburban Swim Conference.

*Tuesday, September 1 @ Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School @ 7p - Informational session to learn more about our team and what to expect.
*Tuesday, September 8 @ 7p - New/transfer swimmer evaluations at Andrew High School (Tinley Park)
*Wednesday, September 9 @ 6p - New/transfer swimmer evaluations at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School
*Thursday, September 10 @ 7:30p - Parent Meeting (virtual)
*Practices start the week of September 14th

It may be the final day, but the GILS are far from finished!!

This team has been on Fire🔥 all week, and the number of personal bests we’ve seen has been nothing short of phenomenal. Every race has showcased the grit, heart, and determination that define this team. We couldn’t be prouder of our swimmers and everything they’ve accomplished.

One final session. One more chance to shine. One more opportunity to leave it all in the pool.

The stage is set for finals tonight at the ISCA Elite Showcase. Let’s finish the way champions do!
