Great Illinois Swimmers - GILS GILS is a competitive swim team offering professional coaching and technique instruction for swimmers. The team is for boys and girls through the age of 18.

GILLS is a competitive swim team offering professional coaching and and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. The swimmers compete in separate girls/boys events according to their age. There are six age di

visions: 6 & under, 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, and 15-18. Swimmers are placed in age categories according to their age at the time of the particular swim meet. The team competes in two seasons, winter and summer. The winter season runs approximately from the months of September through February while the summer season runs April through July. GILLS is a nonprofit club, is a registered team with Illinois Swimming Inc. and competes in the South Suburban Swim Conference.

Rae Rabka on earning the 12 year old cut in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:42.97!

Monica Jiang earning regional cin the 200IM with a time of 3:20.98, the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:34.98 and the 50 backstroke with a time of 42.11!

Shayne Stille earning regional cuts in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:20.60, the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:47.14, the 50 freestyle with a time of 36.10, and earning his 12 year old cuts in the 50 backstroke with a time of 40.64 and the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:31.04!

Cullen Masters earning 2 MORE state cuts this weekend in the 50 butterfly with a time of 32.37 and the 50 backstroke with a time of 35.90. He also gained regional cuts in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:11.84 and the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:41.28!

Way to go everyone, we're proud of you! We try our best to get everyone if we missed the photo opportunity or a time in here please forgive, it gets hectic trying to keep up with all the achievements! Just reach out.

Our 10&under kiddos are a force to be reckoned with. They CAME TO SWIM! We had some fantastic swims this weekend:

Alma Bergmann earning regional cuts in the 50 butterfly with a time of 48.80, the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:49.18, the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 55.93, and the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:36.14!

Madeline Pedretti earning a STATE cut in her 50 backstroke with a time of 41.16 and another regional cut to her list with the 50 butterfly with a time of 44.85

River Elenteny earning regional cuts in the 50 butterfly with a time of 50.43, the 10 year old cut 100 backstroke with a time of 1:39.52, the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:33.96, the 50 freestyle with a time of 40.87, and earning the 9&10 cut in the 50 backstroke with a time of 46.72.

Leah Siniawiski earning a STATE cut time in the 50 backstroke with a time of 41.80, and regional cuts in the 50 freestyle with a time of 36.63, and the 50 breaststroke with a time of 50.43!

Desmond Kobek earning regional cuts in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:39.59 and then 100 butterfly with a time of 1:45.66!!!

River Elenteny- 9yr old regional cuts in the 200IM with a time of 3:50.50 AND the 200 Freestyle with a time of 3:19.12
