Hereโ€™s Wdbry BDavid serving one up on race day.

Bill leads our aid station, with his family alongside him throughout the day. He is also a partner at ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ง, ๐‚๐ก๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฒ, & ๐Ž'๐๐ž๐ข๐ฅ, whose sponsorship helps us keep the tables stocked and take care of runners from the first lap to the last.

Their support doesnโ€™t just hang on a banner. You see it in the food, the ice, and the people caring for runners all day.

Iโ€™m heading out for a run this weekend, so Iโ€™ll be taking a short pause from posting. But weโ€™re not done celebrating Spaulding Woods. There are still plenty of photos and stories to share when Iโ€™m back next week.

That came from one of Saturdayโ€™s runners. Iโ€™m humbled by the messages we receive from runners who notice the people taking care of them throughout the day.

Each year, my mom stands at the gate and cheers for you as if I were the one coming through. My best friend works the aid station with genuine care for how youโ€™re feeling and does whatever he can to make your race day better. My brother tells you, โ€œYouโ€™ve got this,โ€ as you run up the long hill toward the finish. You probably couldnโ€™t tell which runner is his son, because he cares about your race as if you were family.

They are three of the faces runners see throughout the day, but on Saturday they were part of a much larger crew.

Others spent hours behind cameras capturing your day, at the timer recording every lap, and behind the aid-station tables making sure runners had what they needed. They helped with setup and breakdown, parked cars, prepared food, checked course markings before the start, and swept the course at the end to make sure every runner made it back safely.

The trails, medals, and finish line are all part of the experience. What makes the Spaulding Woods 50K special is the way runners are cared for from the moment they arrive until the last runner makes it back.

To every volunteer who gave their time on Saturday, the runners noticed you. Not every runner arrived with a crew, but because of you, no one raced without one.

The DFL is one of our favorite moments of the race. Usually, itโ€™s filled with beat-the-clock drama.

This year, Amanda Osmer & Steven Turner came through the finish together and made it look easy.

They worked through the course as a team, kept each other moving, and crossed the finish line. A pretty great way to run a 50K.
