Welcome to my new labor of love!!! If you don't know me, I'm Slaughtra and I skate with the Cherry City Derby Girls in Salem, Oregon. This is a new idea, so bear with me. This is also my own plan and in no way affiliated with the Cherry City Derby Girls, or any other league or team.
Here's how it works-
1) Donate to the fund- anyone can donate to the Roller Derby Dues Fund.
2) If you or someone you know plays roller derby but is struggling to make their dues, write a short essay explaining why they need it, and why they deserve it. It doesn't have to be super personal, we all need our privacy, but share what you are comfortable with.
3) We will choose a nominee to receive the funds each month, which will be delivered to their league in their name.
I'm going to limit this to any skater in the United States at this time, since it's new and we have no money yet. If it gets popular enough and raises enough money we will see about expanding! :)
That's it, simple huh? Let's see if this will bring a little happiness to someone who needs it!
