Northwest Fencing Center (“NWFC”), officially known as The Salle Auriol Fencing Club, is recognized in the US, and indeed in many countries of the world, for the quality of its coaches, its world-class facility, and its fencers. In fact, Portland today is recognized as one of the best places to fence in all of the US and, increasingly, individuals and teams from around the world come to Portland t

o train. Paradoxically, NWFC’s history, and its impact on the world of fencing is not well known. Our story begins in the 1960s. We welcome all levels of athletes ages 7 & up. We also have a wheelchair program.

Yiran participated in 3 events at the North Texas Roundup SYC and RJCC. He fenced very well and had a great time but an injury held him back a little bit. Despite that, he still finished in the top 32 out of 79 fencers! Way to go Yiran Qiu

Arjun had a solid weekend in the Midwest at the RJCC in Chicago! He earned 5th in Junior Men’s Foil and 12th in Cadet. First time cracking the top 8 in a Junior event, which is awesome. The whole trip had a great vibe and he really enjoyed being out there.

Great fencing in California today at the Fortune ROC/RJCC/RYC. Jayden earned his B and finished in the top 16 of Junior Men’s Foil. Zach just missed his DE by one point but they all stayed and cheered on Eli from Salle Auriol Seattle who earned the silver. Nice teamwork from the PNW kids!
