Tournament Update

Tonight (Monday 7/6) Tiffin Eagles 402 defeated MST PUB Tiffin/Sauce Company to advance in our double elimination end of year tournament.

Unfortunately our Fremont game could not be completed due to weather, forcing a shift in the tournament schedule.

Attached is a new bracket with the new dates.

TUESDAY, JULY 7

Keller Brothers at Phaze 1 will be played in Fremont at Rodger Young Park at Field 6.

The winner of that game will come back to play in Tiffin on Thursday July 9 against Tiffin Firefighter's Local 322

also on Thursday July 9th in Fremont:
Madison Street Tavern will play the loser of tomorrow nights game in Fremont.

UPDATE

Updates this year have been very few and we would like to apologize for that. With that being said, the 2026 TYSA Junior Division season has not been what anyone has expected or hoped for.

Unfortunately our early difficulties getting enough players to play this year has trickled into the season and made things very difficult on everyone involved as well as very frustrating for everyone. We acknowledge this and once again send our utmost apologies on the inconveniences and frustrations that have been caused.

So in the interest of all of that, the TYSA Junior Division will be adjusting our schedule by moving to a DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT starting MONDAY, JULY 6th as a way to conclude our 2026 season.

Games will be played in both of our locations, at Bo Reid Field at Highland Park here in Tiffin and also there will be games played in Fremont at Rodger Young Park (Field 6) during the first week of the tournament.

You will find the tournament schedule attached to this post as well.

I’d like to thank our good friends from the Fremont Rec Department for partnering with us this year as well to try and do some things to help promote both organizations as well as give all of our teams/players a chance to not only play this year but also to reach out and compete against different talent and players. I apologize that we couldn’t quite show them what our organization is all about and what we have grown to expect year in and year out here in Tiffin.

As unfortunate as it has been this year, I would like to extend our utmost thanks to so many people who have made the journey to restart the Junior Division so successful since 2021.

I’d like to thank our players, past and present for all their dedication, for their hard work and for their attitudes and personalities that have made being at the games so much fun.

To the coaches and their staffs, thank you so much for everything you have always put into our league, the things you do for the youth, for the players of this community. Thank you for going above and beyond with our field maintenance and with so much of the behind the scenes things that make the division run.

Thank you to each and every person who has every come out and umpired for our league. It is a thankless job for sure and I just want to be someone who tells them thank you. There is no game without you.

No matter how many times I say it, there will never be enough thank you’s for all of our family members, friends and fans who have always supported their players, their teams and the league as a whole. Without all of you none of this is ever possible.

Finally, there is no manner of way to say thank you enough to each and every SPONSOR who has ever supported us in the years since the division was revised. Our community has come together and always stood behind us. Without all of them and their generous donations we couldn’t have done even half of what we have for our players.

Thank you to each and every person who promotes our division, raises funds for our organization and/or helps us with all the behind the scenes things that most don’t see. They are the reason the division continues each and every year.

Our game tonight in Tiffin between Phaze 1 and MST PUB Tiffin/Sauce Company has been cancelled due to weather and field conditions.

We will attempt to reschedule it at a later date.

Welcome Back TYSA Junior Division Nation.

WE CAN FINALLY ANNOUNCE OUR HEADLINE NEWS!

All of us associated with Tiffin Youth Sports Association are proud to announce that we have partnered with the Fremont Parks Department to add their 2 teams to our Junior Division for 2026.

This will bring our league total to 5 teams.

This collaboration came together rather quickly and TYSA is honored to have the 2 Fremont teams in our league and also being able to return the favor from several years ago when the Fremont Parks department allowed one of our younger division teams to participate in their league.

This collaboration does bring with it a few new details to our league:

Travel: Each Tiffin team will travel to Rodger Young Park in Fremont to play each Fremont team once (a total of 2 trips per team).

With all of that said, you will find our NEW schedule for 2026 attached below. Coaches also have a copy of it that they can pass out.

Each week will days that have 2 games on it (one in Tiffin and one in Fremont).

Our championship tournament is still TBD on format but will start the week of July 20.

Time for an update!!!

REGISTRATION is officially closed for our TYSA Junior Division (all other baseball division are still OPEN, please sign up soon).

With that our season will be ramping up at a pretty quick pace so the following is a timeline that should help give a broad overview of what is coming (all things subject to change of course).

May 25 - Practices will start at Bo Reid Field. All coaches have reached out to their players and should have communicated practice information as well as gathered uniform information.

Uniforms will be ordered this week. All new players and players who have needed to switch teams have uniforms ordered and paid for. Any players who need a new jersey due to misplacing or just wanting a new number or something will need to purchase their jersey at $25 a piece.

June 15 - OPENING DAY - our first game will be played at Bo Reid Field. The Schedule will be released by the end of the week so keep an eye on our page. Games will be scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. We will use Wednesday and Fridays as makeup dates when needed and will only play on the weekends if it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

July 20 - CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK - our championship format is still TBD but it will be held this week. Due to fall high school sports amping up we will NOT be able to move this week at all. All makeup games will need to be made up before this week and lets do our absolutely best to hope and hope that the weather cooperates this week as well.

Our awards and all star celebrations are also TBD and will be updated as soon as we put together more information.

The NEWS is in!

We are going to give 2026 a GO.

We will be having 3 teams and currently each team is at 10 or 11 players (or will be after the coming draft) do it's going to take a gigantic effort from everyone to ensure we have another great season. Numbers are tight but everyone involved truly wanted to make this season happen.

The following is the plan going forward

1. We will be getting our coaches together and drafting the players that need drafted. Hopefully we can get this done by no later than end of next week. The goal is to have it done by Tuesday. After which coaches will be reaching out their players about practice and other pertinent information.

2. We will be playing our games on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to help accommodate so we have availability of umpires. Make up games will be on Wednesday and Fridays. Possible weekend makeup games are possible just only as a LAST RESORT.

3. Games are slated to start Monday JUNE 8 but could be altered if needed. Schedule will be released right here on the page hopefully by end of next week.

4. Teams are in need of assistant coaches so if you would be interested in helping out please let me know or once a coach has reached out to you, then you can let him know. All coaches do have to submit to a background check and do a couple certifications training that will be provided to you.

5. The hope is to have everything done before the last week of July. This is to avoid the fair week as well as the beginning of high school fall sports training with the schools.

We still have registration open, so if ANYONE else would like to join please have them contact us or go register on the website.

Alright TYSA Junior Division Nation here is an UPDATE on the 2026 season!

Currently we DO NOT have enough players to field a league, so with that being said we are going to be EXTENDING our registration out until the end of next week. Registration will stay open until FRIDAY, MAY 8th at which point the Tiffin Youth Sports Association will decide on whether to go ahead with the Junior Division for 2026.

The division needs to have 36 players to warrant fielding a league so ANYONE who is currently in high school OR is currently in 8th grade going into high school next year is eligible to play. This includes ALL CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS as well.

BUT

We ABSOLUTELY need our players to get REGISTERED over at our website. https://leagues.teamlinkt.com/tiffinyouthsports/2026Registration

Everyone within the league and organization understands that anybody CURRENTLY playing High School baseball will join their team in our organization once the high school baseball season ENDS. Coaches would be reaching out to everyone to get information.

Our timeline

May 8th - REGISTRATION ENDS

May 9th - 10th - COACHES DRAFT AVAILABLE PLAYERS

May 11th - PRACTICES CAN BEGIN at Bo Reid Field at Highland Park in Tififn.

JUNE 1 - GAMES WOULD BEGIN (this could be pushed back if needed)

Ideally CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT WEEK would be the week of JULY 6th.

This definitely would be weather permitting and could be rearranged if we need to still make up games or needed to push back the start of the season to ensure enough practice time.

This should allow for at least a 10 game season per team and possibly a double elimination tournament.

The goal as always is to try to have things wrapped up before the Seneca County Fair and the start of fall football workouts so that there is as few conflicts as possible for our players.
