Time and time again it seems the one thing we insist people do when they bring in someone else who hasn't been to the gym before, is fill out and sign a sign up sheet.

We assumed people were more responsible than they are in order to accomplish this, so we are mandating that if you bring someone into the gym:

- It must be scheduled well ahead of time (AT LEAST an hour beforehand) If for whatever reason you are unable to reach us, you ARE NOT allowed to bring them in! Please don't just bring someone with you expecting they can just come in.

- We take our responsibility of a locked facility serously and need to know every. single. person. who in the gym, at all times.

- Every single person must scan in, in order to come in. We don't care if you and your group of like 4 other friends come in together, open the app and check in!

- If someone has issues with the app or access, they need to reach out to us, not just be let in. Those issues mostly happen for a reason, it's not just not working for no reason.

- If you bring someone in that had been a member previously, you will be charged a $15 fee. If they have never been a member and no peperwork has been filled out, you will be charged a $30 fee (that's per person).

This is how we keep our costs down. We have noticed an uptick in the occurances of members bringing unannounced non-members and we have to act under the assumption that it is intentional deception. This will not be tolerated.

WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU WANT TO SHARE THE GYM TO THE EXTENT YOU DO! We want that too, we simply want to ensure it's done the proper way. Please reach out, you won't inconvenience us, that's our job!

Congratulations and great job to everyone who attempted or completed the 1000 Rep Challenge!

Not easy, especially depending on what exercise you chose to do. I know I was sore from it...

We have a new gym policy!:

If you do not re-rack your weights, $1 per pound will be charged to your account.

If you can rack the weight, you can re-rack your weight.

Let's get this 1000 rep challenge finished up!

I see some people have a few reps to go, that's good because March is coming to an end quickly!

Push through, bust em out, whatever you've gotta do to get the rest of those reps in!

Let me know in the comments what other challenges you'd like to see happen in the coming months!

3 cable attachments your gym doesn't have.

First one is great for ulnar and radial deviation and overall wrist strength in those directions.

Second is a weird long piece of battle rope where I'm demonstrating two random ways I could think of to use it. Use your imagination.

Third is my favorite and in my exercise rotation. These paddles are slippery and force you to squeeze them together constantly. The best chest pump!

Tell me what you'd use them for in the comments!

You guys are CRUSHING this 1000 rep challenge!

Keep up the great work! I noticed most of you are on the back side of 500, you'll all have 1000 by the end of the month in whatever exercise you're doing!

Awesome job!!!

One question I get asked a lot is:

What the heck is that machine for???

This is a UCS Glute/Ham machine. It's got a couple key features that make it the best machine for these jobs in my opinion. One, the front pad rotates 360° and the back pads are also super adjustable.

With this machine, it's worth taking the time to determine what is a comfortable setup for yourself.

Here are a few exercises you can do with this machine:

Hyperextensions for lower back, glutes and hamstrings.

Superman twists (with pvc) for lower back, obliques, lats and glutes.

Weighted hyperextensions/rows, I like the row not necessarily for building the back since it's hard to go heavy enough but I like resisting the acceleration at the top.

Razor curls are a great intermediate step toward a Nordic curl.

Nordic curls absolutely crush the hamstrings just set the pads up well to protect your knees.

Prone sit-ups are great for abs and lower abs.

Reclined sit-ups are a level up from prone sit-ups and really hit the contraction at the top.

Reverse hyperextensions are great for the posterior chain and overall spinal health.

Weighted reverse hyperextensions are a step up and not only strengthen the muscles further but aid in the stretch at the bottom. I added this feature to this machine and the attachment just pops on with one pin!

Two bonus exercises are preacher or spider curls. Getting into position is a little more annoying than the preacher curl but the stretch at the bottom is fantastic!

Let us know what you would do with this machine in the comments!

After like 6 iterations, I discovered this set up for reverse curls. Feels great, hits even better!

Take the loop end strap, get the twists out, put them on the backs of your hands. Grab the 1.5" pvc pipe and hold on with the strap between you and the pipe. Step back and curl away.

If you have a better or different way of doing reverse curls, send them to me!

People have been asking about this competition bench for a while so here's a quick video on how to adjust it!

If you're lifting with someone who isn't exactly the same size as you, taking the weight or bar off to change the rack height is so annoying..

These lever hooks in the back make that super easy!

The first video is how to simply change height. T
Obviously this can go up or down.

But wait?!?! How do you change it only 1 or 2 holes??

That's where the second video comes in!

Just move the pin you add to a hole that's a couple off where you want it and hook the lever to that one to be able to move the original pin.

Voilá!!

Much easier and faster between sets...

Let me know in the comments what other equipment you've seen in the gym that you've been wondering about!
