"The battle of Fort Ticonderoga"
This today kayak fishing tournament was founded on the hope to bring all tournament trails in the north east together for a great time on the water! The event will be held on October 14th of 2017 and hopes to become an annual event! The first location for the tournament will be, Lake Champlain which borders New York and Vermont. This event is open to all kayak anglers! There will be cash payouts as well as prizes for top competitors, raffle prizes, as well as big bass and 5050 parts. However this tournament is a charity based event where a portion of all proceeds will go towards a local charity to be determined later. This is solely a kayak event, so only human powered crafts will be allowed. Competitors will have the ability to have a motor on their kayak per KBF handicap guidelines.
This is an individual tournament. However there will be "Side bets" between state tournament trails. There will be individual trophies as well as a large state trophy, which will return every year. It will also be the right of the winning state to name the next years sponsor charity. (To be approved by the committee)
Entry to the one day event is $50. This only includes entry. You will be in charge of your own travel, lodging, and food. The area is beautiful, plan on bringing the family and making a getaway ... we have planned the tournament for the peak leaf change in the ADK.
The tournament will be on a rotating schedule from state to state each year throughout the NE, the winning state of the year will be in charge of locating the perfect location within their state, however it will be part of the committee's obligations to put together each year's festivities.
This event is open to all and all tournament trails are welcome to be part in building the events. To join in please have your TDs contact us.
