📣 Calling All Future Catoctin Cougar Cheerleaders

Have you ever wanted to be part of something exciting, energetic, and full of school spirit? Now is your chance!

🏈📣 Join the Catoctin High School Cheerleading Program this summer at our Open Instructional Clinics!

Whether you’re brand new to cheerleading or have years of experience, these clinics are the perfect opportunity to:
✨ Learn cheerleading fundamentals, cheers, and dances
✨ Meet current athletes and coaches
✨ Get familiar with the high school cheer program
✨ Build confidence and prepare for the upcoming fall season
✨ Make new friends and become part of the Cougar family

📅 Dates: July 14, 15, 16 & July 21, 22, 23
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Auxiliary Gym at Catoctin High School

🎒 Please Bring: Water, tennis shoes, and athletic gear.

No experience is necessary…just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! We can’t wait to meet the next generation of Catoctin Cheerleaders and help you discover what it means to be a Cougar💙🤍

Tonight, we celebrate six incredible seniors who have left their mark on our cheer program and in our hearts.

Over the years, we’ve watched you grow into confident leaders, supportive teammates, and amazing young women. Your dedication, spirit, and love for this team have helped shape our cheer family, and your impact will be felt long after graduation.

While we will miss seeing your smiles, hearing your laughter, and cheering alongside you, we are so excited to see all the incredible things your future holds.

We wrapped up our fall & winter cheer season the best way possible…with an end-of-year celebration at the bowling alley 🎳

So much laughter, friendly competition, and memories made with an amazing group of athletes and parents. These girls worked hard all season long, showed so much dedication, and truly supported each other every step of the way-and yesterday was all about celebrating them!

We missed a few teammates, but they were definitely there in spirit. And a very special shoutout to our amazing seniors-you will be so missed! Thank you for your leadership, heart, and everything you’ve given to this program 💙💫🤍

🎓🐾 Scholarship Opportunities for Catoctin Seniors! 🐾🎓

The Catoctin Athletic Boosters Club is proud to support our student-athletes with scholarship opportunities this spring! 💙

🏅 Catoctin Sports Boosters Scholarships
• Two $500 scholarships will be awarded
• Open to senior student-athletes at Catoctin High School
• Must be a Boosters member (student or parent/guardian)
• Applications are reviewed by an independent committee based on merit

🏆 Buzz Barker Scholarship
• One $1,000 scholarship awarded annually
• Honors Buzz Barker’s incredible dedication to Catoctin athletics and the Thurmont community
• Awarded to a senior who excels in academics, athletics, character, and community service

✅ Eligibility for Both Scholarships:
• Graduating CHS senior
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Lettered in a varsity sport (junior/senior year) OR served as a varsity manager/statistician

📅 Deadline: May 4, 2026 at 2:30 PM
• Boosters Scholarship: Submit completed application (Parts I–IV) to Athletic Director, Coach Campbell
• Buzz Barker Scholarship: Submit completed application (Parts I–IV) to the Guidance Office
⚠️ Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
