Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman's Club provides a variety of activities, and are affiliated with organizations including NRA, BSA (Crew 270), 2Gun, 3Gun, CMP, ATA, IDPA, SASS, and USPSA. The club is located at the confluence of the Monocacy River and Hunting Creek, providing members access to both streams where you can catch trout, small mouth bass, catfish, carp and other warm water species.

The club maintains a boat ramp into these waters for its members. The club facilities include a modern camp ground with electric and water hookups lying along Hunting Creek creating a peaceful getaway spot for members and their guests. Additional facilities available to members include a full size pool, an archery range, eighteen trap fields, a pistol range with nine bays of varying sizes and one, two, and three hundred yard rifle ranges with a covered firing point. TCSC provides a variety of activities and we hold scheduled matches in many disciplines. We are affiliated with numerous organizations including the NRA, CMP, ATA, IBS, IDPA, SASS (TCSC is home of the "Thurmont Rangers"), and USPSA. On Tuesdays (except winter) we hold a public trap night where everyone is invited to come out and shoot, just bring your shotgun and ammo and pay the range master for your clays! TCSC also hosts a broad array of events for youth as well as educational courses such as NRA classes and Maryland DNR Hunter Safety courses. * 2nd Annual Fun Fall Trap Shoot League *

Open to members and public guests.

Tuesday's beginning on September 10th and ending on Tuesday October 29th. Starts at 6pm with sign ups beginning at 5:30pm.

25/Singles, 25/Handicap (options for Wobble)

Must shoot minimal of 6 nights for awards.
Make up on Fridays available on request only. You will be assigned yardage if none current.

Must have own shotgun, ear/eye protection, ammo shot size of 7 1/2 or smaller.

Limited to 40 shooters night.

Adults: $15/night
Jr's & Vet: $12/night

Any new youth under the age 15 that currently doesn't hold an ATA card will be required to have at least completed a Hunter Safety course as no shotgun instruction available during league.
Parents must stay on premises if under 18.

Not a registered ATA shoot, ATA rules still apply.

CCW & CCW Renewal Training

Our website had our July 28th CCW Renewal training sign-up mistakenly pointing to a bad page and no one could sign up. We know that a few of you were looking for this course and a few others have contacted us about a CCW course so we have expanded the renewal course to a FULL CCW course starting July 27th and including a CCW renewal course on the 28th. If you are taking the full course, you must be there BOTH days.

This course covers the Maryland 16 Hr. requirements for Concealed Carry Permits (CCW) and Handgun Qualification License (HQL) at no additional cost. The second day is the complete Maryland Renewal Course and the LIVE FIRE test(s). You will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor. Range time will include a MD shooting qualification (both first time and renewal students), NRA shooting qualification (first time students only) as well as a written test (first time students only). AIM National Grand Championship, Sparta IL *Thurmont Top Shots:
Shane Biser, Morgan Farmer, & Kyle Sanger! Also pictured is Katie Skinner.
Shane came out as Jr Gold Class AA High All Around Runner up Champion, the Doubles Event Champion, S***t Runner up Champion. Both Morgan & Kyle shot in the upper 80's & 90's & their personal best for overall scores of 390, 341, & 351/1200!! There were a total of 1,662 youth shooters, 7 from MD - Congratulations to you all!

Much credit to TCSC club coach Dan Neuland & Steve Crowe for their many years of dedication to youth trap shooting. (& me 🤣) 2013.
