Field + Fire starts on the sporting clays course at Deer Creek Hunt Club, where beginners and experienced alike can load up, take aim and work their way through the course with professional instruction.
Then the fire takes over at Journeyman Distillery with a welcome cocktail, whiskey pairings and a family-style wild game feast built around smoked meats, fresh breads, rich cheeses, pickled vegetables and the German and Czech flavors that helped shape Midwestern cooking.

Brandon and Hazel were out at Deer Creek today getting Honor accustomed to the sound of a shotgun! 🐾🦆
Hazel is officially in training mode, putting in the work and getting ready for the upcoming hunting season. There’s nothing better than watching a good hunting dog learn, grow, and get excited about what they were born to do!

Deer Creek Hunt Club is excited to partner with Journeyman Distillery for a one-of-a-kind fall experience combining sporting clays, incredible food, whiskey, and wild game!

📍 Deer Creek Hunt Club & Journeyman Distillery – Three Oaks, MI
The afternoon begins at 2:30 PM at Deer Creek Hunt Club with a two-hour clay shooting experience, including instruction. No experience is necessary! Whether you have past experience or trying sporting clays for the first time, this is designed to be a fun and memorable afternoon.
Then at 4:30 PM, the experience moves to Journeyman Distillery for a welcome reception followed by an incredible family-style wild game dinner with whiskey pairings.
🍽️ THE MENU INCLUDES: • Fresh mini pretzels with Obatzda
• Elk & venison summer sausage
• Journeyman rye bread & focaccia
• Salade de Tartiflette with roasted wild mushrooms & wild boar bacon
• Grilled squab breast

Due to the significant impact of the recent storms and widespread power outages throughout Northwest Indiana, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana, in partnership with the MAAC Foundation and Don Quijote Restaurante, has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Fun Shoot.

The safety and well-being of our community, partners, participants, and staff remain our highest priority. With many throughout our region continuing to navigate storm damage, power outages, and recovery efforts, we believe canceling this year’s event is the most appropriate decision.

If you have already paid for the 2026 Fun Shoot, a member of our team will personally contact you. You will have the option to reserve your spot for next year’s Fun Shoot and have your payment applied to the 2027 event or receive a full refund.

We are incredibly grateful for your understanding, continued support, and commitment to our organizations and the communities we serve.

During these difficult and uncertain times, we thank our first responders, recovery workers, neighbors, and volunteers who continue to work tirelessly to remove trees, clear roads, and provide food and support to everyone impacted by the storm’s outages. We hope our entire Northwest Indiana community continues to stay safe as we recover and move forward together.
