Ladies and gentlemen. It is with a heavy heart I regret to inform you that River Valley Rocket will not be fielding teams this year. This is due to a lack of kids signing up, a lack of adult involvement in the program, and the simple fact that many athletes have moved to other districts recently.

If your child still has an interest in playing football, I have spoken with New Buffalo Sports, Inc. And they are having a sign up tomorrow, from 10am to 12pm at Oselka Park in New Buffalo.

I am very sorry we couldn't field teams this year. - Coach John.

If you missed signups on Saturday. We will back out at the three oaks baseball fields this Tuesday 7/27 and Thursday 7/29 from 6pm to 730 pm.
Flag football - 4-6 years old
Minors- 7-9 years old
Majors- 10-12 years old
Cheeleading- 4-12 years old

Our kids were not able to play baseball or football last year. The boys youth basketball was canceled this year. We need to get these kids active again and here is a chance to do it. Even though we can’t have a fall season, we can still have a “Football Camp”. Starting next week, we will have "Football Camp" for ALL Mustang ballplayers (2nd-12th Grade). No cost. We're wearing helmets, running drills, scheming offense / defense, and preparing for the spring. Coach McDonnough is going from 5-6:30p each night. This will occur EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.

Unfortunately, we are unable to have a fall football and cheer season. We will be refunding all sign up fees. I will be at RVMHS tomorrow from 5-6pm if you would like to pick up your refund. I will be parked by our football trailer. I will also be at the back to school night at the RVMHS but I am not sure what time I will be there yet. I will keep you posted about a time for Wednesday. If you paid via check and would like me to void the check, please let me know and I will text you a picture of the voided check. If we are able to do the season in the spring, we will post all details on this page.

We just got word, that the Lake Affect league is still trying to have a season. There are a lot of things that still to be figured out and the some rules may have to change. As of right now, the season is still a go but may look a lot different. Please be patient with us as all of the details are being worked out. If everything is a go, we will post a schedule sometime durning the week of Aug 24th. Our first and most important priority is the safety of the kids and our spectators!!!! As some may have seen, the MHSAA as made the announcement today to postpone this year Football season till next spring. We are waiting to hear the official cancellation/postpone from the Lake Affect League before officially canceling our season. As of right now, we are canceling all schedule conditioning practices until further notice. If the season is canceled, a full refund will be give and we will announce dates and time for the refund pick up. If we do cancel, we would like to schedule some mini HorsePower workout to help keep our kids active. Please comment if you are interested in having a mini HorsePower for Girls and Boys. This will be free and will be an hour long two night a week. If we have enough interest, we will post a schedule if our season is canceled/postpone.

We only have a few sign ups left. Tomorrow, we will be out for the last Horsepower. We are also going to be at the school next Thursday night for sign ups to. During this sign up, we are going to do our own Rocket Horsepower for the kids who are playing football. We are also putting on a cheer camp that night. Sign up’s, Rocket Horsepower and Cheer camp will be from 6-7:30pm. If you are unable to stay for the whole time, that is ok too. I know that the middle school football players do not have practice next week. They are more then welcome to join our Horsepower. Please help spread the word.
