We have some exciting news to share....some of our former/local athletes are offering a Youth Track & Field Camp at the end of July in Three Lakes! Danni, Kortnie, and Kallie will be offering their expertise in the following events: shot put, discus, sprints, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and speed/agility (check out the flyer for additional details). This is a great opportunity to learn from our local athletes who have excelled on the track and in the field. We hope to see you there!

Photos to go along with the new School Records that were broken/tied at the 2023 WIAA State Track and Field meet. On the first day of the State Track meet, Kallie broke the Triple Jump School Record with a jump of 38'09" on her sixth and final jump! The existing record was held by her sister, Kortnie. She claimed the Triple Jump record in 2019 with a jump of 37'10".

Kallie broke the School Record in the Long Jump with a jump of 18'05.5" on the second day of the State Track meet. The previous record was held by her sister, Kortnie. Kortnie's long jump record of 18'02" was from 2018.

While participating in the long jump, Kallie was also in the high jump. She was able to tie the existing High Jump School Record clearing the bar at a height of 5'07". This record was set by Katy Haarala in 2003.

All-Conference awards were announced last week for the Northern Lakes Conference. The girls on our team had a great season and earned many awards. Kallie Volk was selected as the NLC Field Athlete of the Year! In addition, All-Conference awards were earned by Karlee Weavers, Sophia Nafziger, Kaylie Grasse, Jodie Grasse, and Hailey Koepp. Congrats, girls!

Small, but mighty, the boys also did well this season! For the boys side, Gus Fink was selected as the NLC Field Athlete of the Year! Ethan Potrykus earned the honors of an All-Conference award. Congrats, boys!

Senior Kallie Volk finished up her high school High Jump career with a State Runner-Up title! Just after finishing her prelims in the Long Jump, she ran over to the High Jump area. Kallie battled back and forth with the first place finisher; both jumpers had an impressive showing. Kallie cleared the height of 5-07", which is a new PR and ties the School Record! She also nearly cleared the bar at the height of 5-08" on her second attempt. Her finishing height would have won high jump in D2 and this height would have tied with the first place finisher in D1. A great finish, Kallie! We are proud of you!!

The Track and Field season came to an end this weekend for another one of our seniors. Senior Kallie Volk finished up her high school track and field career at the WIAA State Championships meet in La Crosse on Saturday with a bang! After winning the State Championship title on Friday in Triple Jump, Day 2 consisted of Long Jump and High Jump. Her third jump of 17-05.25" put her into 2nd place going into the finals. She had to pass her first jump in finals because she was also competing in High Jump at the same time. Upon completion of High Jump, she ran over to the Long Jump pit and jumped an 18-05.5" jump! This jump was not only a new PR, but also a new SCHOOL RECORD! This jump secured a State Runner-Up finish in Long Jump (only about an inch behind the first place finisher). Way to go, Kallie! We are proud of you!

Our Track and Field season came to an end this weekend. Senior Karlee Weavers finished up her track and field career at the WIAA State Championships meet in La Crosse. Karlee was in the first flight of Shot Put, but earned her way to the finals with a throw of 35-4.25". On her first throw in finals, she was able to bump up into 9th place with a throw of 36-0.50". At the end of the competition, she ended up in 10th place. Representing one of the top 10 girls in the state in Division 3 is a great accomplishment! We are proud of you, Karlee!

Day 1 wrapped up with a BIG finish! On her final jump in Triple Jump, Kallie moved from 4th place to 1st place with a jump of 38'09"! This was not only a new personal record for Kallie, but also a new school record! Congrats to our new STATE CHAMP!
Day 2 will feature Karlee in the Shot Put and Kallie in the Long Jump and High Jump. Let's Go Jays!

Let’s go Bluejays!!

We have state-bound Bluejays!!

Best of luck to Karlee Weavers and Kallie Volk, who just left for the state track & field competition, which begins tomorrow. Kallie will be competing in triple jump, high jump and long jump and Karlee will be competing in shot put.

We'll be sure to bring you updates as we receive them. Let's cheer these Bluejays all the way to the podium!

What a week! Two of our seniors will be continuing their track season on to the WIAA State meet in La Crosse this weekend! We will be taking two athletes in four different events. Our State Bound athletes are Karlee Weavers in the Shot Put and Kallie Volk in the High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump. These girls have worked very hard this season and we are very proud of them!
