Palm Springs Gun Club is a private, members only club, THE RANGE IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, however, non-members can attend our organized matches, which are held on most weekends. The club hosts introductory matches for the novice shooter several times a year. Intro matches focus on: range safety, safe gun handling, range commands & etiquette, and some of the scoring methods used at other matches.

As a community of active shooters, it is quite common for the more experienced shooters to help out beginners on an informal basis. Membership is not required to participate in matches as a competitor. Approximately one dozen of our members are Range Officers certified by the National Range Officer Institute. You are encouraged to come out to a match to see what we do. Each match has a unique flavor and offers a different experience for the shooter. A shooter who has not experienced competition is encouraged to watch a match or two before taking part in a match. Feel free to contact the Match Director of the match that most interests you. Once you have had a chance to observe a match and meet a few members, you may want to become a member. In order to join, you must present yourself for membership consideration at one of the club's monthly meetings which are held after the Stock Gun Match on the 1st Saturday of each month. Fi****ms training for home defense and personal protection is now available in the form of NRA Courses taught by an experienced NRA certified instructor. These courses range from basic to advanced. PSGC Tactical Pistol Match
First Full Weekend Saturday of the Month, October through June
Registration 8:30 AM, Start Time: 9:00 AM
Members $20, Non- Members $30
Round Count: 100 +/-
Scoring: Fixed Time Plus Penalties. This is more about safety and proficiency with your concealed carry handgun.
Divisions: Revolver, Stock Gun Iron, Stock Gun Optic
The PSGC Tactical Pistol Match is a non-sanctioned outlaw match consisting of CCW, IDPA, and USPA shooting styles. Field courses feature running & gunning, shooting from cover around barricades, shooting at moving targets, and shooting from multiple shooting areas and positions, at paper and steel targets. Courses are designed for the person who wants to practice with a self-defense handgun. 9mm/.38 cal minimum. Significantly modified guns are not allowed. Firearm, Holster, and Mag Pouches should be consistent with EDC. Basically what you carry. 10 Rounds per Magazine Max, regardless of capacity. Shooting will be from concealment, so a vest, jacket, or shirt etc. for concealment is required. Holster must be OWB or IWB, no further forward than 2:00 (RH) and 10:00 (LH). NO APPENDIX. No race holsters or thigh holsters allowed. So blow the cobwebs off that Stock Gun that lives in the bedside safe, or your Concealed Carry gun and bring it out to the range.
