Andrew Logan & Riley Battin got in a great workout this morning.

Andrew is prepping for his Senior year at Oaks Christian. The reigning Marmonte League MVP is weighing his scholarship options.

Riley, Ventura County’s all time leading scorer, is playing professional 3x3 and is attempting to represent Team USA in the 2028 Olympics.

Shot quality matters! During a scrimmage we were taking way too many contested jumpers.

We want OPEN shots, no matter the distance. Here is Coach Jason breaking down the math.

The next scrimmage, we had higher scoring because the group was shooting higher value shots.

A few highlights of Jillian McGillivray from UC Merced’s scrimmage against their Alumni.

Jillian, who is a freshman at UC Merced, led Thousand Oaks High School to a Marmonte League title last season.

👀 A little fun at Myles’s workout today. We are expecting a big year from Myles as a Sophomore at Camarillo High School.

Myles has been a Raptors player since 6th Grade and we can’t wait to see him compete at the varsity level this year.

Our next workout is this Sunday. DM to sign up.

Closeout 2 on 2 is one of our favorite drills to help ball movement, attacking closeouts, and making open shots on the second side of the floor.

Defensively, we teach no middle and force the help to the small side of the floor. Clearly, we have some work to do but that is what practice is for.
