Outa Control Outa Control is the name of a drag boat which is a Canyon Hydro with a blown Chevy. Fastest speed so far is 155 MPH in the 1/4 mile.

The Outa Control crew is heading to Lowell, OR for CDBA's drag boat race July 14-16th. We're hoping to increase our #1 lead in the points for our class. Haven't had the best of luck the past two races there, so hoping 3rd time is a charm! Safe travels to all racers driving/flying to races this month. And, good luck!

Winner, winner-chicken dinner! We won our class at the Lucas Oil Drag Boat races over the past weekend. We're off to a good start for the year. Many thanks to crew, Phil, Leo, Mark, Dave, Mike and John. Without you all, we couldn't have done it! Off to Parker, Apr 14 & 15th.

Just heard that Henry, the Tech Director for LODBRS has been relieved of his post without a reason given. Do not know who took his place (not that he can be). He did a lot for the sport and, in our minds, will be sorely missed. Seems like LODBRS corporate doesn't have a clue and let the wrong person go!

We pulled the plug on getting the engine ready for the World Finals in PHX in early Nov., but attended without the boat....

We pulled the plug on getting the engine ready for the World Finals in PHX in early Nov., but attended without the boat. Our sister, Laurie, volunteered to design,purchase decorations and put them up for the RESP 30th Anniversary BBQ/Auction, so she also volunteered us to help her since we were boatless! We felt like fish out of water having no "headquarter trailer", but friends like the Warrings and Campbells made us feel most welcome. They even helped put up the decorations. Congrats to Nitrocrondiac- TFH for winning the race and are champs for the year! It was not a good racing year for Outa Control, with many mechanical issues throughout the year. But, learning from the downfalls and progressing forward with new ideas and parts will, hopefully, prove to be a safe, rewarding season in 2017. Thanks to Lucas Oil and ADBA for providing and sponsoring drag boat racing! Sharing a few pics of the decorations and centerpieces.

OOPS, WE DID IT AGAIN !! Unfortunately, our second qualifying run at Parker last weekend proved disasterous! There was matching holes in both sides of the oil pan. It's Deja Vu as the same damage was done at the Oregon race in July. After tearing into it, we found extensive damage to a lot of parts. Only two runs on an almost new engine! That's racing.. Congratulations to the Smokin' Aces crew as this race secured their 1st place divisional points win for a repeat.

It's official! We're almost ready to roll to the races! Hope you'll be able to join us in Parker, AZ at the Blue Water...

It's official! We're almost ready to roll to the races! Hope you'll be able to join us in Parker, AZ at the Blue Water Marina for racing on the Colorado River. Congrats to the team for purchasing and rebuilding a complete engine and V-drive in time for the race. Wish us luck. We're currently #2 in points and hope to clinch a #1 spot!

Looks like the Outa Control team will be headed to the Lucas Oil race at Parker, AZ at the Blue Water Marina Oct. 14-16th. The engine parts are coming along...just need time and money to finish it up! More to come later....

Stay tuned... blew up the engine in Dexter, OR... our sister, Laurie, has been busy moving from Calif to New Mexico, therefore, no posts recently. Hopefully, will be able to make the Oct race at Parker, AZ in the middle of Oct. Will post more later.
