Sheridan HS boys soccer finishes fourth out of 16 teams in the Big Walnut Showcase this weekend. They won 2 and tied 2, giving up only one goal over the four games.

Yesterday the boys high school team competed in the Logan showcase.

First game- it started as an annoying rain then turned into a downpour in the second half. Nevertheless, the generals jumped on Hillsboro for a 4-0 lead at halftime before finishing with a 5-0 triumph

Second game- having lost three starters to injury in the first game, the generals still marched out to a 4-1 halftime lead against Peebles before finishing with an 8-3 win.

Third game- this would be our toughest test of the day against a very talented Minford squad. It turned out the weather was the biggest enemy of both teams as the entire game was played in a torrential downpour until play was halted with 15 minutes to go. Minford held the lead at that point 2-1 and the game would be called at that point.

The boys showed much improvement over their first set of friendlies three weeks ago, addressing some key concerns offensively as we outscored our opponents 14-5 overall.
