I want to take a few minutes of your time to highlight the Founders and Organizers of the 2020 Huntingdon, Pa., Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) Challenge.
For the second straight year, Stacy and Tim Hickes, have put everything they have and all the time they can muster into giving a unique National Icon, "The American Mustang Horse", a platform for saving its life.
The seriousness of this endeavor cannot be underestimated.
Human beings are the alpha predators on this planet earth. Why a horse, much less an American Mustang, should trust such a predator, speaks of the incredible trusting abilities of the horse and not the human.
Knowing this, Stacy Garner's decision to gentle and train a Mustang just out of the wild, was nothing short of incredible. I know because I witnessed Stacy's total focus, commitment and love for her Mustang in the 2015, Extreme Mustang Makeover, Virginia. Stacy's top ten performance, under the coldest weather conditions, not seen in decades, in Virginia, was outstanding. I knew right then that Stacy was not only a special trainer but a special human being. Stacy was assisted by someone who catered to her every need and want. As I congratulated Stacy on her performance, I happened to meet her very attentive assistant.
His name was "Tim Hickes".
This meeting was eventful for me, not because of just meeting Tim, but because of his overwhelming positive and trusting presence. I immediately liked and trusted Tim.
They are two of the guardians and advocates of the American Mustang.
TIP Challenges are horse shows that require everything that other horse shows require. If you throw in a pandemic, additional rules, stipulations, cancelations, financing requirements, coordination, problem solving, listening to complaints, trying to accommodate everyone, and on and on and on..., you begin to appreciate what these two go through when they put on a TIP Challenge, like this.
Stacy and Tim are tired but you never, ever hear them complain and you know they are thinking about next years Challenge.
These two have already started to organize the 2021 TIP Challenge, so that the Mustangs that will be gathered, gentled and trained can experience life changing experiences, just like the competitors.
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take a little bit of your time to Thank Stacy and Tim, and their team, for all they do.
Do it now! Do not wait!
As for me...Stacy, Tim...you both are two of the most extraordinary and incredibly unselfish human beings I have ever been fortunate enough to know.

Kassie and her Mustang "Pistol Annie", competed in the "2020 Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) Challenge held in Huntingdon, Pa, as hosted by "Gentled Hearts Stables ".
Every Trainer, Spectator and Staff member, witnessed a young trainer with a passion for what she is doing. Kassie's seemingly effortless performance underscores the many hours, days and weeks she put into training herself and her wonderful Mustang, "Pistol Annie". The one thing that stands out, without a doubt, is how much fun Kassie is having as she does what she does. "Always Smiling", looking like a Cowgirl and beaming with Confidence and Personality, Kassie is a joy to be around.
We all think "Pistol Annie" feels the same way. "Nothing beats preparation!"
"There is no substitute for time spent with your horse!"
Kassie and Pistol Annie, you are a "Class Act" and "Fantastic Champions"!

Jillian and her Mustang "Waverly", competed together in the "2020 Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) Challenge" held in Huntingdon, Pa, as hosted by "Gentled Hearts Stables " of Huntingdon, Pa.
Jillian's "quiet confidence" and very pleasant personality enabled her to gentle and train "Waverly" so that we all could witness the results.
This unassuming young trainer confidently and successfully completed all phases of this competition while keeping her Mustang "Waverly" under calm control. It is the handling, control and teamwork that matters, not the obstacles set before us.
Jillian, you were great and we all were amazed watching you become the Champion you already were.

Emily and her Mustang. "Joey", competed in the "2020 Trainer Incentive Program Challenge (TIP)", held in Huntingdon, Pa as hosted by "Gentled Hearts Stables of Huntingdon, Pa".
Emily is surprisingly unique and one of a kind. She has a very active and creative mind. Her energy level is contagious. Some may look at this as a concern but those people are not looking at the real talent(s) of Emily.
"Joey" was fantastic in this competition not because this Mustang gentled and trained itself. Joey was trained by a "focused" and "determined " and "happy" young trainer by the name of "Emily".
Emily, you were a Champion before this competition began. You put an exclamation point behind the word and concept of "Champion ".
It goes like this...."Emily and Joey are Champions!!!"
Congratulations, you two!

This is "Taylor Hayes".
Taylor and her Mustang "Kian" participated and competed in the "2020 Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) Challenge" held in Huntingdon, Pa and hosted by "Gentled Hearts Stables ".
Taylor competed with a "sling" on one of her shoulders and arms due to an unfortunate mishap while training for this competition. Taylor's "cool confidence " with "Kian" was a sight to see. Taylor gave no excuses for anything, she just did what she trained so hard to do. She competed, she performed and she and Kian became Champions. Taylor could have laid down and quit. She could have given up. She could have said...."NO"! Instead, Taylor said..."YES", loudly and proudly. If you want to see what a "can do attitude " and "Champions" look like, then take a look at the SMILE on Taylor's face and how calm Kian looks beside her.
Taylor, we all are proud of what you have done with your great Mustang, "KIAN".

Wendy was a competitor in the "2020 Trainer Incentive Program Challenge " held in Huntingdon, Pa and hosted by "Gentled Hearts Stables!"
Wendy competed with her equine partner and perfect Mustang, "Valkyrie".
Wendy is a U. S. Armed Forces Veteran and she put her training to great use in gentling and training Valkyrie, although we caught her smiling and having a real good time.
Seeing Wendy enjoying competing made everyone seeing her want to do the same thing.
After the preliminaries, Wendy thought she was in last place. We all were confused because, there is no last place. Wendy and Valkyrie were already winners and they still are.
Wendy, you made everyone proud, your patriotic routine with Valkyrie was just what we needed. You, Wendy, are a wonderful horsewoman and a Champion competitor.
Congratulations on winning all those ribbons and for winning the hearts of all Mustang owners and trainers!
You were great!!!

This is " Kimberly Ann Frame ".
Kimberly competed in the "2020 Huntingdon, Pa, Trainer Incentive Program Challenge ".
She and her Mustang, "Fallon" were a team that quickly became a sensation. Kimberly's patience and methodical work ethic with Fallon, was a joy to experience.
This young lady, is the epitome of "triumph over adversity". Kimberly's absolute positive attitude and a "will not quit" determination enabled her to do more than triumph at this challenge....it allowed her to become a "Champion at Life!"
Kimberly, everyone who witnessed your and Fallon's performance at this challenge woll gladly tell you that you two were Fantastic!
Please compete again!

This is "Ann Hanlin" and her incredible Mustang, "Woodrow!"
It was my extreme pleasure to witness this team perform a riding/jumping demonstration at the 2020 Huntingdon, Pa, "Trainer Incentive Program Challenge ", where Ann successfully competed with another of her great Mustangs.
This rider, competitor, equestrian extraordinaire, trainer and most definitely, lady, wowed the audience with her performance on Woodrow and in the competition.
Ann and Woodrow are the equestrian team you want to be. Impressive and completely entertaining.
I wholeheartedly encourage you to find out when Ann will be demonstrating and competing again so that she can motivate you as she did me and all in attendance.
Ann, Congratulations on your multiple ribbon wins at this great challenge!
You and your horses are special.
