A combination of Mr. Houzengas' classes worked together to complete a community service project for the Mississippi Flyway Waterfowlers, an independent organization out of Thomson, Ill whose focus is on waterfowl habitats including land improvements and habitat restoration projects like this. The organization funds and delivers all of the materials needed and Mr. Houzengas' classes do the rest measuring, cutting, and assembling the duck houses. They built 17 duck houses this year.
The picture includes students in the building trades class which is one of the classes that helped, from left to right; Jack Hockaday, Kaleb Brooks, Erich Herzmann, Eli Heyvaert, and Aidan Jepson.
