CRJ racing headed to Connecticut to compete in the NER SCCA Midnight Madness weekend races.
We qualified and raced 2 races in one day.
The last race is after sunset so we install light strips on the front shock towers and use the rain lights to ensure drivers can see each other on track.
It was a beautiful weekend with great competitive racing!
A few videos are in the comments.
Results:
Qualifying: P1
Race 1: P1->P2
Race 2: P2->P4
Our next race will be at Palmer Motorsports Park Sept 11th-13th.

Sending thanks out to:

This weekend Bryan added in RV engine diagnostics / repair to his repertoire! (Check engine light on the way to the track = cylinder 8 coil pack/ spark plug replacement)
Thanks to Jeff for allowing us to use your truck for the auto parts store run and to Dave for running the diagnostics to make sure we were safe to travel home!

CRJ Racing attended The Formula Vee Radial Tire Championship race this past weekend.
This was the first time Chase has been at Summit Point and the first time he's raced on radial tires.
The schedule allowed him plenty of practice / track time prior to qualifying so he could apply what he learned via iRacing as well as tips from a driving coach.
29 cars were signed up for the weekend.
Results were:
Saturday:
-Qualifying session 1: P5
-Qualifying session 2: P8
-Race 1: P5 -> cancelled due to lightening
Sunday:
-Race 2: P5 -> P5
-Race 3: P8 -> P10

The start of race 3 was a bit rough. On lap 1 / turn 1 he had to make a defensive move by going off track to avoid tangling wheels with another driver. This pushed him back to 15th but he was able to climb his way back up to finish 10th. Both races ran green to checker so there was no hope of catching the leaders.

Chase went into the weekend with the desire to finish in the top 1/2 of the field. After all, these radial drivers are some of the best in the country!

Overall it was a fun experience with a great bunch of people and we are very grateful to have been so warmly welcomed into their weekend.

Next up: we're back on slicks this coming weekend for the Midnight Madness Race with NER SCCA at Thompson Motorsports park in Connecticut August 15th.

NERRC Race Against Leukemia Homecoming race weekend recap:

Well it was an interesting weekend with respect to weather!
Saturday morning was cloudy but heavy rain was predicted to begin in the afternoon. Mother Nature didn't disappoint! We ended up racing in the rain on slicks again (similar to the 2025 race) because it started to rain steadily around lap 2 or 3 of the race.

Race results were:
-Qualified P3 overall
-Race 1: P3 -> P2 (FV) / P3 overall)
Check out the video on his TWITCH page. Link: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2823154379
Skip ahead to approximately 26min Note: Unfortunately his camera slid and it ends up being an "interesting" perspective but you'll see him spin early in the race ๐Ÿคฏ and then work his way up to the front and race neck and neck with Nick across the finish line for the FV class.
-Race 2: P2-> P4
-Race 3: P4 -> P2

Saturday we also celebrated Chase's 19th birthday. He was doing what he loves doing (racing in the rain) and then hanging out with some of his favorite people around the campfire at night.

A great weekend overall but the crew has work to do. The flywheel is damaged so the engine needs to go to the builder this week.

Our next race is at Summit Point in West Virginia Aug 6-8. He's going to give the radial tires a try at the Radial Championship weekend.

As always... thank you for your support!

Happy July 4th from the CRJ Racing crew! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
We've been at Thompson this weekend for the SCCA NER Northeast Last Chance Majors! It sure was a hot one!
We had a successful weekend and a lot of fun even though the car counts were not the same as our regular races.
Results were:
-Friday Qualifying 1: P1
-Friday Qualifying 2: P1
-Friday (Race 1): P1 -> P1
-Saturday (Race 2)-- extended 25 lap race P1 -> P1

The extended race is always a little intimidating especially in heat like this... (25 laps or 35min -- whichever comes first).

With about 6 laps to go, Chase radioed to Bryan that he felt he was losing power on the front stretch while at full throttle. He backed off a bit since he had a bit of a gap between him and the P2 car and was still able to take home the checkered.
We're thinking it may have been due to the heat ... maybe v***r lock?

We're back on track in New Hampshire again in 2 weeks.

We hope everyone stays safe and has fun celebrating America's 250th!! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Late post!
We headed to NJ Motorsports Park to kick off our 2026 season and compete in the NJ Devil SCCA Majors race May 2nd- 3rd.

Unfortunately these races don't get the car count we get in the New England region but it's fun just the same. (5 FVs were on track)

We practiced Friday to ensure the car was working ok after all the repairs done on the off season.

The weekend consisted of 2 qualifying sessions and one race on Saturday then an extended race on Sunday.

Results:
Qualified P1
Race 1: P1 - P3
Race 2: P1 - P2

This is a challenging track for him and he's racing with one of the best drivers out there! Overall a solid weekend, he learned and made sure the car was running well.

The New England Region SCCA 2026 season opener was held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway May 16-17, 2026.

We headed up early to practice Friday

The weekend consisted of 1 qualifying session and 3 races.
The class had a great turnout! 26 cars were on track at the start of the weekend!

Results are below
Qualified: P1
Race 1: P1 to P1 overall
Race 2: P1 to P1 overall
Race 3: P1 to P1 for FV class (4th overall)

Race 3 was a challenge.
On the start, he couldn't get the car into 4th gear. He had a whole pack of cars pass on either side of him. Once the car got moving, he went to work.

Check out the first photo below. He went from 13th on lap 1 to 8th on lap 2. Continuing to push and made his way back up to 1st by lap 11.

Unfortunately on lap 14 he lost it on turn 3 and went off track for a bit. He was worried that he broke something so decided to back off and not push as hard and get out of the way and let the radial guys battle it out within their class knowing he secured P1 for his FV class.

Overall a successful weekend!
Our next race will be at Limerock Park June 12th-13th

Chase has started live streaming on Twitch. The videos are kept for approximately 1 week so head over there, follow CRJ racing and check out the in car view.
When Chase goes live for his next race, the app will let you know he's about to head to the grid. (Note: he does broadcast some of his iracing sessions too). Either way... fun to watch!
