Late post!
We headed to NJ Motorsports Park to kick off our 2026 season and compete in the NJ Devil SCCA Majors race May 2nd- 3rd.

Unfortunately these races don't get the car count we get in the New England region but it's fun just the same. (5 FVs were on track)

We practiced Friday to ensure the car was working ok after all the repairs done on the off season.

The weekend consisted of 2 qualifying sessions and one race on Saturday then an extended race on Sunday.

Results:
Qualified P1
Race 1: P1 - P3
Race 2: P1 - P2

This is a challenging track for him and he's racing with one of the best drivers out there! Overall a solid weekend, he learned and made sure the car was running well.

The New England Region SCCA 2026 season opener was held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway May 16-17, 2026.

We headed up early to practice Friday

The weekend consisted of 1 qualifying session and 3 races.
The class had a great turnout! 26 cars were on track at the start of the weekend!

Results are below
Qualified: P1
Race 1: P1 to P1 overall
Race 2: P1 to P1 overall
Race 3: P1 to P1 for FV class (4th overall)

Race 3 was a challenge.
On the start, he couldn't get the car into 4th gear. He had a whole pack of cars pass on either side of him. Once the car got moving, he went to work.

Check out the first photo below. He went from 13th on lap 1 to 8th on lap 2. Continuing to push and made his way back up to 1st by lap 11.

Unfortunately on lap 14 he lost it on turn 3 and went off track for a bit. He was worried that he broke something so decided to back off and not push as hard and get out of the way and let the radial guys battle it out within their class knowing he secured P1 for his FV class.

Overall a successful weekend!
Our next race will be at Limerock Park June 12th-13th

Chase has started live streaming on Twitch. The videos are kept for approximately 1 week so head over there, follow CRJ racing and check out the in car view.
When Chase goes live for his next race, the app will let you know he's about to head to the grid. (Note: he does broadcast some of his iracing sessions too). Either way... fun to watch!

The last race weekend of the 2025 season is in the books!

It was an interesting one!

Qualifying, Race 1 and Race 2 went well. The car loved the cooler temperatures and Chase was running some of the fastest laps he had ever run here.

Qualified: P1
Race 1: P1->P1
Race 2: P1 -> P1
Race 3: P1 -> DNF

Race 3 short recap:
On lap 5, while coming around in turn 6, the hub failed and Chase lost his right front tire. Thankfully the gravel slowed his roll and he only kissed the wall and walked away unharmed.
The track photographer got some great shots. (Link below in the comments) It is amazing that the wheel held on as long as it did! One of the drivers saw the hubcap/ dust cover fly off in the last turn of lap 4 (turn 10) and it held together until turn 6 of the next lap. (Chase said he didn't feel it before it happened)

Now for the great news!

Chase and our crew chief Bryan worked hard this year!

Chase was able to win the Northeast Formula Vee Championship as well as the New England Region SCCA Series Championship!

Thank you to our sponsors, friends, talented fellow drivers and the SCCA volunteers for the fun and great racing season!

Time to rest and get work done for 2026!

We hope everyone has a great off season!

2025 SCCA Runoffs National Championship Race ✅
What a beautiful but very challenging track!
Unfortunately, due to the need to prioritize college classes as much as possible, we headed west on Monday afternoon and were only able to practice Wednesday.
The track is over 4miles long so that basically gave Chase a total of only 8 laps on track before qualifying started Thursday / Friday.
34 cars in total
Thursday Qualifying 1: P16
Friday Qualifying 2: P26
The starting position for Saturday's race was based on best qualifying time for each driver on either day.
The grid was set to have Chase start 22nd out of 34 cars. He had a lot of work to do!
Lap 1 proved to be "interesting" as there was contact on his left back end but both drivers kept it on the track and pushed forward. (See photo below... we were lucky the tire held for the full race!) It happened at a bit of a chaotic instance where everyone was reacting / avoiding when another car went off track.
It was an exhausting race but our driver learned a lot this week!
Chase finished P12.
He would've loved to finish in the top 10 but he was happy to have finished in the top 1/2 of the field!
Next up: the final race of the season with the Northeast Formula Vee crew at Thompson in 2 weeks.
A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Alex Scaler for his National Championship win! What an exciting race to watch!!
Congratulations also to Jeff Valeo for his P8 finish and Dave Scaler for finishing P9!!
The FV race starts at 4:56 in the YouTube video. Link: https://www.youtube.com/live/DdOC3u4KZjQ?si=Ugn026SQ04dLuO7n
