Founders Ken Bowers and Steve Sells recall how it all started. “We usually fly fish in the small streams of the North Carolina mountains,” Steve says. “Our location, and the small streams we fish, have forced us to use bad fly fishing technique. It all started on a guided float down the Holston River in Tennessee. We were not use to casting a fly in such a large river. We used too much wrist and c

ame up short on our casts. We gained the attention of our guide and he tightly wrapped a lanyard around our wrists to correct the problem. It worked, but it was extremely uncomfortable and the lanyard cut into our wrists.” “Yes, very uncomfortable!”Ken says. “Our trip could have been more pleasant if we would have had the right product to help us with our fly fishing technique.” Before heading back, Ken and Steve looked at each other and both said “Are you thinking what I am thinking?” At that moment the LayRight Fly Fishing Glove was born.
