Montrose-based dance academy, Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, is expanding its reach northward, as owner Kelly Ann Vitacca's dance studio and the the Payne Academy of Ballet become the Vitacca Vocational School for Dance Woodlands on Aug. 1.

The School of Pennsylvania Ballet is excited to announce the appointment of our new School Director, James K. Payne! Mr. Payne joins us from Houston, Texas, and is eager to get to know the families of SPB. His background as a professional dancer and an arts administrator will help SPB continue building upon its strong foundation, and continue producing beautiful artists.

“I am honored that Pennsylvania Ballet has chosen me to lead the School. With my experience building a successful school and passion for developing dancers as complete artists, I look forward to working with Angel Corella as we build the School for the future."
